I quote from the review:
''For the first 30 levels, I would consider this game a gankers paradise. note: Everyone has stealth ....let me repeat that...EVERYONE HAS STEALTH. Rouges, Warriors, Archers and casters alike. many of the MMO veterans well know the power of choosing your fight, setting up the conditions and having first strike.''

Is this for real? Everyone has stealth? That seems rather lame.
I want some more explanation of someone who played the game personally.

Assassins, barbarians and rangers can steath and walk in stealth..no problem..
Other classes can stealth but if they walk the lose stamina with time...
someone correct me if im wrong..
Note: stamina has nothing to do with health in aoc...stamina in this game is like rage/energy..alows you to do melee combos and run...
this isn't really news, it's been know for some time now.
everyone is able to stealth but all non rogue classes use stamina when they move in stealth and walk slower while in stealth. it will be easier to pop non rogues from stealth with search, at least that's how it worked in open and pvp beta. non rogues need more shadow then rogues to stealth but it shouldn't be to hard if you put points into it.
stealth takes about the same stamina as sprinting does. you will probably need high stamina regen food or pots to continuously walk in stealth.
Err, why can everyone stealth ?
why not? im not trained ninja or assassin or anything like that.. i can still sneak in the shadows should i choose to do so irl.. so why should i be able to do so in game?..
i think it's more balanced the way stealth works in this game. and it adds another element to ambushes and pvp in general.
you never know what's comming when you try to gank someone.
Everyone gets the skill "HIde." Rogues have an advantage, of course, but Hide is useful for we squishy (Priest of MItra) characters who want to try sneaking past an unwanted battle or two. Further, the fact that it eats my stamina means I am not 'stealthing' since I will be done hiding within a few moments.
Hedonismbot: Your latest performance was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams.
If you're sneaking through shadows technically just about anybody can do it. Of course assassins can do it better especially since they wear quieter armor.
I suggest you go read the whole deal with stealth and not just look at "omg everybody can stealth, this game suxxx!" and inform yourself properly before posting next time.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
all you have to do is stop and wait for your stamina to regen. that's how it worked in pvp beta and open beta.
What is being unmentioned here is that there is an ability gained which improves your chance of detecting a stealthed enemy.
Stealth isn't foolproof.
Stamina regen food is your friend....
This is one of the best things about the game IMO. Everyone can stealth was ingenious, instead of worrying about balancing it.
A heavy plate wearing guardian should not be able to stealth.
Each individual class should have his own unique type of specialization.
I'm rather confused, I guess I will experience it the may 23th.
i believe perception increases the chance you will make a char leave stealth if you use the search ability.
you are also able to hear stealth players walking around so if you hear more then your own footsteps be ready with the search button.
as far as i have seen. stealth is undetectable. you will never see a stealthed char. maybe they changed this since open and pvp betas.
this is strictly from a pvp point of view. as a rogue.
pve mobs can see you from a screen away sometimes.
Found this brilliant article which describes the stealth system in detail.

Phew, for a moment there, I was expecting the annoying stealth system as seen in Dark Age of Camelot/WoW, and it would not have been true to the Robert E. Howard books.
In the open beta I was undetecting stealthed players, I just put the perception ability or whatever it is up.
Basically when walking around you will see "You have detected "persons name", and they will be unstealthed.
I think it's good that everyone can stealth to different degrees, even if you are in full plate you should be able to hide in the bushes or something.
They should implement it like DDO, that was great and took into account footsteps as well. Even there everyone could stealth.
every one can hide only rogue classes have real stealth, yes others can "hide" but lose stam when moving, this is to help hide your numbers when getting ready to do a big pvp fight or yes it will help to gank othes or even help to get passed areas where ganking happens alot and will help to move passes mobs in raids.
Assasins walk faster while in stealth. They still have some advantages over a Barbarian for example, am I correct?
Just found this also. www.tentonhammer.com/node/15580
Assasins indeed do have superior stealth. So its all good then I guess.
