I am personally okay with people getting to 80 quickly. As long as they have lots of endgame content, I'll be happy. But if Siege Battles are anything like Guildwars Guild Battles, then I'll never get tired of Siege Battles
You guys ever try using the search function? No one in Ebonlore is 80. The highest they have is mid-high 50's. If you have the critical thinking skills of an 8th grader you will realize all the "80's" are IC. they are having a guild competition to 80 and the IC are not included so they set their DKP level to 80 to take themselves out of it. Wow, I've never seen such obvious slander with absolutely no proof.
I don't believe you can get banned for exploiting since it is not using any third world programs. The definition of exploiting is "use or manipulate to one's advantage". If Funcom decides to ban their account, legal issues will take place.

Actually, per most standard MMORPG license agreements, the company reserves the right to ban accounts for any reason they please. Since this sort of exploiting would most certainly stand against the intended use of the game, I would be very surprised if they don't ban for it...
Perhaps looking in game to see what level people are instead of looking at statistics on a website would be a more accurate way of discerning what level a particular person is. Our highest members were currently #s 2 and 3 on the server last time I was logged on (last night), in the high forties. I'm doubting they're close to 60 at this point.
I find it amusing the amount of hate that can be sprung by inaccurate statistics.

Yup cause leveling that high that fast is soooo legit. GTFO

If you're new to MMOs or just this game in general it's understandable that you would have a hard time leveling. Since a lot of us may or may not have been in a closed beta for this game (not able to reveal without breaking NDAs) we may or may not have an adequate knowledge of places to level at in an efficient manner. If you played Vanguard or EQ2 you know that leveling in those games was a tedious affair. It is not, however, in this game and since we are used to such strenuous requirements for leveling, this game seems like a breeze to us.
Oh and playing non-stop since the servers have opened has helped a bit as well. (Taking off work and skipping class and all that fun stuff...)
Yeah, they were cheating. But the exploit was fixed earlier this week and thats why the phenomena stopped. Btw, I'm not speculating, because I studied their blog shots and figured out what they're doing. Since its fixed, I'll go ahead and discuss it.
This player set up three chars, Khieng, Jyire and Proh, grouped them and parked them in front of a specific quest NPC, and then proceeded to go in a circle redeeming the quest reward and then having other group members, who still had the quest in their log, *re-share* the quest with them. Apparently the quest required an item of some sort as condition for completion that wasn't being removed from inventory ( I'm not certain because I've never done this quest ). Read the chat log and you can see whats going on.
It appears that in this shot, as he's hitting level 15, that he had completed the same quest 166 times, since he has 83 silver on it. You'd think that Khieng would have been banned by now, but I guess Sigil isn't concerned about whats on the leaderboard.
here's Proh's shot.
Somehow I doubt there are even 1331 quests *in* Vanguard, so Sigil is going to have to probably wipe these quest completed stats or these exploiters are going to top the leaderboard forevar, hehe.
Have a look at Stemcell and the other most-quest-completed character blogs.
They are standing in front of the *same* quest NPC. When I first noticed this, I calculated that Stemcell would have had to have solved this quest once every 6 minutes on average since the game went live noon on Jan 26th to rake in 1331 completed quests. Obviously he's set up a macro to do this.
All the other anonymous players are the top of the list were just ambushed by the automatic screenshots when vgplayers rolled out and are just trying to hide their blogs.

ive been playing mmos for almost 8 years now.... nothing new to me... so basically what im seeing here is a case of having no lives and in DESPERATE need of gettin laid/loosing virginity goin on here.
But i am still goin to go with my first choice which is 60+ in a total of about 48 hours sorry dont see it happening.
Hmm what would happen if people bitched and demanded theyre money back from the company. Wouldnt get the money back BUT it would send a message to them that this shit cant be tolerated and ebonfucks should get knocked back down or baned. Simply put you take the fun out of the game and i hope you get whats coming to ya

You and I both know that's bullshit.
I played with EL in EQ2. I was in the guild until I hit 35 and got behind the lvl cutoff because I refused to use the same exploits Ewle and the others were using. That was fine though because like an ass Axem had given me access to the main account and I stole half of the guild bank.
EL is known for being cheaters and bullies, it's part of the ego trip Ewle is on. You'd think being 36+ and a mother of three that she'd be a little more mature, but now. The way her and her husband Axem interact with one another you'd think she was the DOM and he was her gimp.
I currently know someone in EL who is using this exploit and he doesn't deny it and he even admits others are using it, so your bullshitting here can end and you can go find some dark corner to fuck off.
On a positive note, I'm not playing AoC for other reasons mainly because the game sucks so this exploiting has no affect on me, I thought I'd just clarify even more how EL is full of bad players who can't win fare.
Personally, I could care less about the exploit thing as long as it would't affect my gameplay experience, but I will add: "Shortcuts, the easiest path, often result in unsatisfactory success" (can't remember who said this or something to it's effect). Anyway, here is what FunCom says about exploiting. (posted 5-20-2008)
What is the exploit policy for Age of Conan?
Exploitation
You will not exploit any bug in Age of Conan and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (the definition of bugs like this is: a bug that grants the user unnatural or unintended benefits in game), either directly or through public posting, to any other user of Age of Conan. You will promptly report any such exploit via exploits@ageofconan.com address and never use it again.
An exploit in the game is a bug or design error that makes it possible for characters to fight monsters, solve quests, or earn money that normally should be out of that character’s reach. Funcom is actively working to remove exploits from the game.
An exploit is regarded as a bug that we have to fix. We expect players to inform us about exploits, not tell other players about their discovery and to not use the exploit after they have found it. Exploits could lead to suspension of your account or banning. This has happened to some accounts already.
The investigating of exploits in Age of Conan is based on two sources of information: Reports from players and reading through logs. All reports received through mail and petition is used to get exploits out of the game.
In addition, we are able to find detailed information about characters. This is used to find characters that have disproportionate amounts of credits or are augmenting in level faster than we would expect.
It is important not to spread information about exploits after they have been discovered, as the team needs time to solve the problem. It is dangerous to tell you that we are working on a fix, because this information could lead to more people learning about the exploit and using it. While the team is working on it, please don’t tell anybody about the exploit.
Eh. I remember Ebonlore from Shadowbane way back when. Lets just say they have never had a very good reputation. Doesn't suprise me they're still on the bottom of everyone's list of pond scum. They certainly were back then.
They exploit because they can. It is a race to level 80 for them, so they can ruin gaming experiences for all others who wish to actually play the game. Ganking is going to hurt the game in the long run. I hope, for the games sake, this practice is monitored by GMs and dealt with appropriately.
I totally agree.
Personally, I don't know how anyone, except kiddies and anti-social types, think there is any fun or challenge at all in FFA PVP. Ganking is just TOO damn easy and horribly lame.
You're sitting there fighting a mob, when the lamer ganker waits till you are at 20% health, then attacks with their (20+ your level) character. OOOOH, wow, that's creative.

This is where I'm going to have to disagree with a lot of you.
Ganking, griefing, and corpse camping are all apart of PvP. If you cannot handle any of this then don't roll on a fucking PvP server. I'm tired of damn carebears bitching and crying about how they get ganked and griefed and all that shit when they knowingly rolled on a PvP server and knew this type of shit happens.
If you think otherwise, you're living in a damn dream world.
Just roll on the PvE server and enjoy your shitty instanced PvP 48v48 bullshit.

There you have it, folks.
There's the reason you will NEVER see a successful MMOG based on open PvP.

The ganking was never horrible in UO. When u died you could easily rez safely from a healer away from where you died. I never had a problem with it.
That being said, UO PVP was the best ever and nothing today or in the future will ever match it, never.

Ban all involved or the reputation of the game is tainted. I really dont see any other way around it~
Reading more than the first post of the thread before you post is probably a good idea, ie mine as it's probably the most relevant/accurate.
