Best Game Ever?

XaldorXaldor Member Posts: 236

What is your favorite game of all time?  What game can you start up, play, and have "fun" evry single time you play?  I know it's hard, but please only list ONE game....Heres mine:

GTA Vice City

Everytime I play this game I find myself  having fun.  I mean evry single time.  I can never get bored cause there is so much to do.  I've even recorded game sessions on my VCR, so I can relive great moments in the game.  I know it's sick, but that's how much I love this game.  It's actually really cool to have it playing in the background when I have a party at the house, with some music playing on the stereo....

Anyway that's my game...what's yours?

Well, right now I'm having the most fun with ESPN nfl 2k5, but for all-time, it would have to be GTA 3.

Yep ESPN NFL 2K5! Best football game ever! image This coming from a long time Madden fan. From the oldest back on the Sega to 2004 on Xbox. I rented Madden 2005, but after buying 2K5 for only $19 a few weeks before Madden was released it was a lost cause. Not going to buy Madden 2005 for $50 when I already have all the other Maddens.image Can't go wrong with such a great game for such a great price. Got my friend to finally switch over to Xbox from PS2 because of 2k5, he still got Madden 2005 though since he's been a Madden fan just like me. I saw the light though.image

    Jagged Alliance 2

It's why I chose the nickname of Grunty.

I would prefer it to be Gus Tarballs but felt people would misinterpret Gus's last name.

HEY Admin! Is there any way to change my nickname? ::::22::

    Please...? ::::02::

Ohh ya. Jagged Alliance. Loved those games. They should make a third one, fully integrated 3d graphics(although I'd think more of a up & down scrolling like NWN.), more possibilities, freedom. Etc.

And more of a RPG aspect to it. Characters having more of a story, etc.

Fidel was such a bastard on that game, ahaha. Got annoying when he got his head blown off because he wouldnt listen.

As for favorite game ever... Well the way you described it, it would be the Hot Shots Golf series. I haven't gotten Fore! yet, but I still play all of the old ones alot.

lol.........that is a tough one to just pick one out of so many really fun and enjoyable games.

I'd have to say the EA Sports NCAA Football series, especially 2005. I wore out 2003 and 2004 to the point that sometimes the cd won't work. I'm playing 2005 now and I'd have to say it's the best in the series. Fun no matter how long or how often you pick it up.

Can't believe that no one has mentioned the ULTIMATE game of all time.....

    Frontier - Elite 2

Can't go back and play it now though as the graphics are obviously out-dated and it doesn't even run on my PC anymore lol

But you can get up-to-date equivilents like X-Beyond the Frontier I suppose and I loved that one.

Ive been a gamer since I was born, getting my Vic-20 just made it more concrete :D

Selecting a favorite game is not an easy task. Is it the amount of time Ive spent or the quantity of fun I've had?

I remember many favorite games for the ol Amiga days: Kick-off, Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder to name a few.

The PC games back in the days that I spent way to much time with: Command&Conquer, Worms and Warcraft I

Last couple of years favorites has included: Max Payne, Prince of Percia, HL/CS, SplinterCell

    ...Baldurs Gate, NWN...

But the game Ive proberbly enjoyed the most so far has to be an MMO - Dark Age of Camelot. The first MMO I played, got a bunch of friends started and it took us weeks to get anything done...

Offcourse I've missed a bunch of games, it wasnt my intention to list all the goodies, just a few that popped into my head.

One thing I know for sure, I will always be a gamer...

I do not think I will ever ever get tired of that game, it is my constant refuge when all things seem dark and I have nothing to play.
