How many got the drinking cape when you only ordered the original box?

After having claimed your cape, merely find one of the kegs in the finer Inns of Hyboria and click it whilst wearing your cape to receive your drink."
Did everyone get this that bought the original box ? i thought the drinking cape were suppose to come with collectors?

I got an e-mail for the drinking cape and I don't even own the game or have it pre-ordered. The only thing I did was sign up for beta and never got in.
So, I'm guessing it was just given to people who registered for beta.
haha. good thing i only bought the original box rather than collectors then, wanted that cape ^^
You guys had to have signed up for the Clan of Conan news letter. It's an item for doing that.
I didnt even register an account for AoC, just preordered the original box.

You have been a long and thrustworthy participant in our community, and as such we would like to thank you for helping us form Age of Conan into the marvelous product it is today..
I dont even own AoC yet, and still got the cape, so im sure the masses who have been a AoC forum member for awhile will have one also.
Seems strange to be given in game items when I don't even own the game, I've had bad experience with MMORPGs in the past so I'm not keen on paying for one without trying it first.
Oh well, at least if I ever do end up buying the game I'm gonna have a drinking cape!

yepp... newsletter recipients are now proud owners of free booze
I was part of the technical beta test, and thought it was a thankyou gesture from Funcom. But I guess it could be because I'm also recieving the newsletter.
Was pureley for signing up to the Newsletter bet the CE crowd are annoyed.
I got it today in an email. I don't see why CE buyers are so upset about it considering Clan of Conan members were told they would get it long before the CE had it.
I got this email today too. I was in Fileplanet Open beta, but I also have a pre-order with Mammoth.
Lol I bet CE's aren't happy bout in many ways, the only extra item they have over the Non-CE's is an xp ring that lets be honest doesnt add as much xp as it shud, 3% bonus isnt worth it.
Most CE's have paid roughly £59.99-99.99 for interviews (nothing revealing, exicting or uselful, you can find most of it on youtube/online), Printed Maps (lol we can just screen and print these), XP Ring (sure Funcom will eventually gives add these to drop tables, like in other games they make), Drinknig Cape and Mounts.
I've paid £28.50 for my Game, Mammoth, Open Beta + Cape.
So essentially they're paying roughly £30-70 for 5 friend codes, soundtrack (easily downloadable), paper, cardboard box and a lame ring. I really feel for those CE owners right now
heh, i registered for the beta on the last day that you could sign up for it, and never posted on the forums, yet i still got a free drinking cape which i'll probably never use.
i think everyone taht registered for beta got it
