Is it just me or is the PVP totally lame? I have been trying to do the quest in the White Sands Isle area and level 15+ people keep attacking me. This is getting very irritating cause it makes quests take a LOT longer to do.

Here's a tip, roll on a normal server, not a pvp one. We all know that theres a lot of ganking and griefing going on in pvp servers, its not pvp thats lame its people.

Que Que more imo.
Tortage is tough. Zones are small and narrow. When I wrote my Walkthrough I had the PvP server specifically in mind. You can get 0 to 17 in single player mode, least that way you have a fighting chance (except against the lev 20s). Read it HERE. Its also stickied on this board up top.
Good Luck, gets a bit better when the zones get larger and wider.
Good Luck

People are only playing the incarnation of the pvp , so no it s the pvp thats lame.
You should definately roll on a PVE or a Culture PVP server.
Reroll pve.

He's complaining about him getting ganked, if you ever played in a pvp server on any game you do get ganked, since he seems to hate that I suggested a pve server, where that wont happen. So it isnt pvp thats lame but its the people who gank low level character, you can play the incarnation of pvp in a pve server as well.

I agree that your life WOULD be much easier on a non-PvP server. I'm on one only because my guild decided to be hardcore.
If that's not the response you're looking for though, I have another for you:
The Acheronian Ruins. They're a non-PvP area, even on a PvP server, and that'll get you to 15 just fine. At that point you can continue the nighttime quests (I had to spend 13-15 there). I had to go back to White Sands and the Underhalls around 17-18 until I hit 19, but because it's a fairer fight, you'll get ganked quite a bit less at that point.
and the pve servers will have a ton of pvp as well. It is more like WAR's idea in zones or area's where pvp takes place. The difference is pve the pvp only happens at higher levels. Personally, I like to get to know my class before running around killing people. Plus I have no joy in kill weaker characters so ganking is not interesting to me... let the weak eat their own pups.
PvP in a game made for PvE is always crap. If a MMORPG is level based, then that's usually a good indicator how PvP will turn out to be. Crap.
im sorry if i have killed you, but the strong must do what is to be done. if you are on the server tyranny then you might have met my sword already, im boasting a kill ratio of 342 kills / 14 deaths
keep playing you will get better, plus at higher lvls no one will gank you most of the time, not unless ur in the noble district
Its not the people, its always the game system which allows certain gameplay. If there would be no restriction every game would be full of cheater and hacker without any protections. Its like in the real world, its the law not the people otherwise we would have anarchy since humans are in general not that social like some think maybe and thats why everything needs restrictions.
I did attack a Goon and he was l;ower level like I dunno 1 level lower and I could not hurt him...no matter what I did...he just would not take damage. We both even aggroed wondering MOBS. THe two that attacked me while fighting the goon were doing some serious damage to me and the Goon still was not hurt - at all - zero damage - even though I was hitting him and so was a MOB. I dunno. I died and just waved it off as a bug - like the one I encountered before.
But to say this game is level based for combat...I would have to disagree.
