Problems Installing AoC

Hi all!
I just recently bought AoC and my installer keeps freezing up when trying to load the disks on. I dont run anything else while its installing and my whole comp freezes with it after i click on the start bar. Any ideas what can be the cause of this? my computer is good to with a really nice processor and 6 gigs of ram so any ideas?

I would bet you are not freezing, the game as it is on the disks is highly compressed. It can take 20 minutes or more to install just one disk. Even with fast processors. So pop in the first disk, go through the steps and let it do it's thing. Sometimes it doesnt appear to be doing anything. That's normal.
Oh, and the AOC official forum is a better place to get tech answers.
ok well i know it can take up to 2 hours but ive let it run for over 45mins once and it just craped out.
should it be normal if i come back and try to hit the start button and it freezing that and all my other functions except i can move my mouse around?
Why are you hitting the start button? Try turning off your screen saver and power saving options so it will run uninterupted. Also kill your antivirus. These two things could be a problem. While installing your computer will be very unresponsive as it's using all it's resources. I hope this helps. If not I would open up a problem ticket with funcom. Also scan the official forums, others may have had this problem. though I will say I havent heard of it from anyone I know. Good luck
