The Good:
1. Graphics... are great.
2. Combat System... pretty decent. (except in pvp it sucks)
The Bad:
1. Instances... You will barely see many people in this "mmo" due to instances having a max of 50 people. This was a means to account for their lack of content in the game, and there is a great deal of 'lack' concerning content. So, you will never see more than 50 people, unless you are in a siege which can support up to 98 people.
2. Zones...
a. You have to talk to people to teleport you to different areas, which removes an exploring aspect of the game. There is no seamlessness at all to the game.
b. They all feel like you are following a set path the entire time you are running through, maybe excluding a couple zones.
c. They are pretty small.
d. there are NOT very many zones. The world is sooo small.
3. Quests... There is a lack of them which means a lot of grinding. And group questing is annoying as hell due to instances and everyone having to get in the same one. Needs MUCH MORE CONTENT.
4. Stat caps... wtf! Makes armor useless often.
5. PvP... though the combat system is fun in pve, its not in pvp. As a conqueror, if some1 begins to run, there is basically nothing i can do. I can charge once, maybe get a couple swings in, but besides that, it would be impossible for me to do any of my combos to them while they are running, because you must be stopped for your combo to work. And of course, if they jump in the water, thats the end of it, cant even swing at them or anything.

6. Miles of sloppy coding
He missed quite a few of the bads, broken crafting system, very little if any of the promised PvP content. But aside from that he pretty much summed up the game.
How the hell is this game getting an 8.7 rating here and great reviews from other sites? Is everyone hype driven idiots?
This has to be one of the most shallow piece of crap MMORPGs I've ever played. in fact I refuse to call this game a MMORPG, it's an OG minus the MMRP. This game is really bringing the standards of the genre WAYYY down.
But 8.7 is a bit overhyped. Thats true.
I posted a vid of more than 70 people in a regular zone before...
There are roughly 800 quests out there.
Omgosh there are zones just like EQ2...
Stat caps, yea there are some issues still.
Try ToS and quicksand for snaring
Reply to Fion: Exactly. I'm starting to believe that this is a site for people who's hobby it is to complain about games rather than play them. Needless to say I dont agree with most of the comments. The play areas have just enough people in them to make it seem lived in, but not crowded. I have also never run out of quests to do and quite honestly am having to leave many lines behind. (will pick them up with alts) Oh well, each to their own.
Ner... erm.. fix ToS. :P It makes me cry how some classes deal with an almost infinite number of adds while i hardly can deal with two mobs *growl* My dual wielding is low because i am female *sexist funcom growl* and playing the block-hit-block-hit strat with a shield and sword is useless when three mobs surround you. I want some mighty 360 degree sword swings to feel equal to the most classes around me <-- Thats a smiley but i am serious.
To the OP:
In any case, the number of people inside each zone is not as important as the number of people each one of us interact with. In that sense, the occlusion settings that Funcom chose making people disappear in a few paces away from the player is more immersion breaking than the amount of people in any zone.
I'm talking about the main world, by the way.
Instancing of zones however is another ball game and it is indeed very immersion breaking. I'm curious to see how this will pan out when the server population matures and everyone will be crammed in the 70+ areas.
In my opinion the zones themselves are pretty big, on par with any other game out there. The lack of a seamless connection is what makes them seem small (it has the opposite effect of what some people are claiming).
The world itself is indeed pretty small, compared to other more established MMOs. Then again, LOTRO started small and matured pretty nicely. I'm optimistic and will expect the world to grow as the game matures.
So, once my busy life allows me to level a bit more, I'll have a first hand experience of what's happening in the mid to upper levels.
Overall I'm optimistic. Both because I've been more than 6 months in the beta, so I've seen how much the game has and is improving over time. And because I'm a casual player that has not reached the point where the "lack of content" is supposed to be.
Well... I have yet to see more than 10 people at one single time, even on the the game's release day. It seems empty.
