You mean some dont like grinding in mmo's,that dont mean they hate mmo's lol.

If they hate mmo's they dont come here.

If some hate grinding its becouse its repeatingly killing same mobs over and over again for gaining lvl or money materials, they see no point in that, you eather like it or not.

You have games where you advance by grinding alot and games where you progress mostly through quests, and some that progress through skills training.

Grind will always be there, its just how you implement it into a gamelore and peeps like it and it give them feeling it mean something and its usefull.

For me when there are no lvls, xp,but have quests seems to have a purpose for progressing, and kiling mobs to train my skills and is dynamic so not always same mobs at same place and they drop items that are logic then im happy.

Beast drop like skin claws only ext.

Humanoids can drop currency armor weapons only.

Magical npcs drop magical items only.

But thats for everybody different most dont care killing endless chain of same mobs and unlogical drops like wolf drop a weapon or armor.

Everybody have a different taste and view of how a mmo should be:).

    Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

What you're trying to say is that if you don't have grinding you got power leveling? I don't like grinding and I don't like forced leveling in order to get to the fun - the endgame content. I don't get on the computer and start playing a game because I truly enjoy killing the exactly same looking bears over and over again, what's the fun about that? I could as well write the same word all over a sheet of paper over and over instead.

I don't see why you must implement grinding into a game. If you add other things to do that keep the players occupied (hard bosses, PvP, crafting, trading, socializing etc) you don't need to add a need to farm stupid monsters. Grinding is just an easy way for developers to add a timesink to the game, thus making players keep on playing because they "must" farm these monsters for that über loot. They don't play it because it's fun - they play it because they feel that they have to.

I'd much rather see a game entirely without any form of grinding at all, and I know that it's not impossible either. Just because the previous MMOs we've seen all had grinding more or less doesn't necessary mean the future ones must too, or that all MMOs must have it.

Neosteam is not hard grinding game though it takes time to complete the quest due to wide map, and there is a rear land where you can level up faster... I'm sure it's pretty helpful

A game needs to be fun!  Games can still be fun, even if you're not leveling up fast.  The problem seems to be that most games lack everything except the grind.  I can play a single player game for 200+ hours without ever getting bored of it, but I've never played any MMORPG for that long.  So, how long it takes to level doesn't mean anything.  I think that's about all I have to say...

yeah, it all depends on what the task is during the grinding period. If it's varied and interesting, as well as mixed in with some specific class tasks, then it can be alright. But I agree that at some point you sould reward players with some type of power leveling achievement. This is normal in most well designed MMOs though.

In neosteam there is promotional package or box that can be open when you reach a certain level its quiet interesting and exciting what item will be in that box I'm currently lvl 45 and as I experience the box came from the job change quest is quiet helful for the job you've choose...

I prefer power leveling over grinding. I think its because my first MMO was Runescape lol. The majority of the quests are dreadfully bad, you would travel the world looking for dozens of items you will never use again so you can kill one thing and get an item that isn't so useful.
