ok heres the deal this game looks like EVE to SO many people and EVE is fun and this game LOOKS fun but i can already tell you dont buy it want to know why CODEMASTERS i found that out today they are making it and i started to laugh this game will be a failure for sure since codemasters is making it.
for all who dont know codemasters is probably one of the worst developement companies for anything, hint hint turning piont: fall of liberty and archlord (which is a stupid crappy MMO) and (turning piont is a crapy shooter and was in the top 5 worst games of 2007)
DONT BUY THIS
(unless of corse it gets above a 9 in every magizine if it does go buy it then watch it start to suck)

GRID is made by Codemasters. It's pretty awesome.
Last time I checked, net devil was developing Jumpgate Evolution and codemasters appeared to be the publisher. Also if I remember correctly, codemasters published lotro for europe.
In terms of development, I believe they also developed overlord, which wasn't a bad 3rd person action (rpg?). And Grid was a pretty neat driving game. So they aren't all bad.
I played Dizzy on the CPC 464. Awesome series of games.

Codemasters is the publisher. Ie. they are funding things.
The original Jumpgate was developed by Netdevil and published by 3DO. 3DO went bankrupt 1 month after Jumpgate was released.
What does all this mean? I am not real sure. But i doubt that it means that Jumpgate evolution should be lumped into some nebulous "Codemasters Games" category where all are disqualified since a large portion of it is based upon Jumpgate classic
Although I have heard that Codemsaters has handled some MMORPG stuff pretty poorly in Europe.

Archlord wasnt made by Codemaster and neither is Jumpgate.

yup agreed. Jumpgate Evolution has an advantage over many mmo's. Netdevil already proved its fun after the first Jumpgate and so no matter how many trolls come out, people like me know how good this game will be purely based on the first version. Hell if they just upgraded the graghics I would be playing 24/7.... and its nothing like EVE. Get your freaking facts right
The JG universe is better without people like OP anyways. You can only shoot someone so many times before the just QQ and quit.
