The best CE ingame item

I didn't see a post about this anywhere else, so I thought I would throw it in.

I am not in any way advertising for a specific company, I am only talking about which of the three rings is better because the are NOT equal.  They are close... but not equal.

Order from GameStop or EB Games (online or in-store) and receive the:

SENTINEL'S AMBER BAND

Enhance your stats and cast "Touch of Earth," increasing your chance of doing additional corporeal damage with each hit. (Usable in PvE combat only.)

In-store pre-orders wil receive codes printed on a "rave card." Online store pre-orders will receive codes via email.

Order from Amazon.com, GoGamer.com, GameCrazy or EAStore.com and receive the:

GUARDIAN'S IOLITE BAND

Enhance your stats and cast "Touch of Spirit," increasing your chance of doing additional spiritual damage with each hit. (Usable in PvE combat only.)

GameCrazy pre-orders wil receive codes printed on a "rave card." Online store pre-orders will receive codes via email.

Order from Best Buy or BestBuy.com and receive the:

CHAMPION'S SAPPHIRE BAND

Enhance your stats and cast "Touch of Frost," increasing your chance of doing additional elemental damage with each hit. (Usable in PvE combat only.)

Best Buy and BestBuy.com customers will receive a pre-order box containing their codes. Online store pre-orders will receive codes via email.

Of these items, the Sentinels' band is the best, because most monsters resist this form of damage the least.  Followed by guardians'.

The champions' is the most resisted and the "frost" has no beneficial side effects (such as slow).  That is in fact a myth.  So in the order posted, you should try to get those items.  If you can get it somewhere cheaper than another, they are all ABOUT the same, so its up to you.

I personally don’t know which will be the best item as of yet. I was wandering the same thing when I was looking over the CE items. I wish I was more help but to be honest I really don’t know which one is better than the other yet.

I kind of threw the info at the bottom of my post and it looks like it's been a little overlooked so:

If anyone has a chance to get the sentinal, you should definately do so!

I wouldn't be surprised that since "Corporeal"  means physical and the damage would be subject to defense and not resist (possibly even both?) .

Also, don't you think that Mythic will be balancing this out? What if the Sentinel's Band does 2 points and the Champions does 4 points to help the balance curve?

Besides, wouldn't it make sense that they give the best item to people who purchased directly from them and not a third party retailer?

Here is one more fun bit to think about. Mythic can change the resists whenever they like, add in that the game is in beta and that in betas it is not uncommon to have character and/or creature stats skewed (including lowered resists/defense) during this period and those resists could find themselves reversed entirely.

One item being stronger than another sounds like BS to me. I would suggest that people buy from whatever retailer they are most comfortable with.

    I got the Sentinels ring.

And who gives a damn if one is a bit better than the others (if indeed it is), they're still only usable in PvE.

I can almost guarantee that these items will not be used past rank 20 anyway.  The stats and extra damage they add will be far overthrown by a higher level accessory.

While I can see the added benefit of having one over the other, it's really not a big deal.  I remember when they first came out with the "CE Goodies" and people were crying "Imbalance" ... on an item you won't use past lvl 15.  Silly people

P.S. - I orderd my CE straight from EA, too many hassles with other companies when they first released it and I didn't want to chance it.

Lol me too. Even if it is just a cheesy effect with no real practical use something about it just sounds fun. *shrug*

All three will be obsolete once you move up high enough in the PvE content anyway.  I wouldn't concern myself with this too much.  Of course it will be a nice advantage in PvE in the beginning part of the game.  I got mine from Amazon.com and I will always recommend going with Amazon because you get your beta code the second you order the CE.

FYI, if you are planning on getting a CE I'd recommend doing it soon.

Nope, just a resident troll. It has to keep it's post count up somehow.

Altairzq is good at what he does though. Someone has to keep these forums interesting.

I'm going to make the assumption that the damage bonus imparted from these rings to targets, is not resistable. i.e. if it adds +10 dmg, then every attack will go up by that amount.

What's the purpose in making them unequal, and having people who bought the CE from certain merchants feel cheated without explanation up front? I don't think they'd do that, and so I think this is a flat damage adjustor. Given that, it will be a while before people taken them off.

I got mine from Amazon so it's the Guardian and I kinda like the Guardian's ring best, I'm going Chaos Chosen and I think they might have some dmg in that and I also like mages.

Do you know if it's one use only or what? I thought you just use it as much as you want anywhere you want and you rez there and you rest there...is that it?

These trinkets are like all other CE stuff - obsolete after a few levels.

Far and away the best offer is the customized avatars. This is a GREAT move by Mythic. I would not be surprised if future MMOs take a page fom Mythic in this regard.

Create a set of avatar templates and reserve them only for your Collectors Edition buyers. of course, if the CE players don't like the ones reserved for you, you still have the other selections.

it still pales in comparision to City of Heroes customization , but that is a different system altogether.

How do you get them? Is it in the CE Box or is it the in-game codes?

If it is a one time use, it would be pretty useless. However, I would imagine it will either not have a huge effect or have a long cool down.

You get them with the other two codes. I got mine in an email a day after my order from GoGamer.com

I got my codes from amazon, all I got was OB, In-Game Items and Live Game Head Start....so I guess the heads are the in-game items?
