Welcome back to World of Gearcraft where the only form of progression is found in perpetually grinding for that extra +3 stamina (or stat of choice).   Enjoy your eye bleeding grind!

That brings us down to one simple thing... That is we play games and pay for them just for a moment of fun because when you get everything it becomes boring and you have 2 choices, start over or give up. The right answer is giving up but a player always starts over spending his/her time doing the same thing again, when instead of that he/she could be doing something useful...

    At least that´s my opinion... : /

Question still isn't answered. The complaint is that all you do in WoW at max level is get gear... what mmos do you not?

You do that in all of them... and then you have nothing more to do that´s where i wanted to get. Understand now?

well that's why i don't play any mmos right now.  Gear progression is lame, the only true endgame is player looting.   All hail Darkfall, may you bestow your light upon us!

Then how is complaining WoW is a gear grind a valid complaint.. since all mmo's are?

You can't say a game is bad (compared to other mmo's) when  all other mmo's have a gear grind  as well...

I dont play it anymore but Everquest gave you an alternative to "gear grinding"

    - there was Advancement Ability experience you could earn that would give you new abilities or enhance existing skills, over 1000 AAs

    That said,

WOTLK will have Achievements which should give an alternative to gear grinding

Yeah, i'm starting to feel the pull to go back to WoW.  I am even beta testing Warhammer and still feel the pull.  There is not one cool MMO out right now that let's you have fun with friends and organized fights.  I tried them all and WoW keeps pulling me back because it was the most fun.  I do remember getting to 70 and being insanely frustrated with the gear grind, but at least it was fun BS'ing with friends and going on organized raids.  AOC was a big let down, especailly since the lies the devs told everyone.  I just can't find an MMO that kept me captivated besides WoW.  Everything else seems like...well....garbage.  I don't know, if I do go back to WoW I would have to buy the game again since I got rid of my old accounts.  I would have to buy WoW and TBC.  I just don't know if I want to buy them again.  We will see.  Gonna give it a week to make up my mind.

I recently renewed last month as well.  Have stayed away a while now.  And, whats worse, they invited me to the WotLK beta earlier this week...and I love it.  So, now they get more money from me especially when its released...because well now I have to keep paying to stay in beta..lol.

And I will be a DK just so you know...of gnomish decendance....>:D!!
