Where do you get most of your vinyl?

  • DjinDjin Member, Newbie CommonPosts: 3,263

For?  Happy Hardcore, or in general?

Well...  I'll tell you a story.  I was lucky.  My friend had an on-line store called "Fat-Tunes" and he also had some of his records at a local shop [which was less them 200 feet from my house].  So I got a lot of my tunes from him.

Where do I get them now?  On-line stores...  I have a very picky sense of taste with my music... I love that speed garage baseline... so think about that with 170bpm...  almost like jump up jungle... it's very intense!  I love it!

For Happy hardcore and general Trance. What are some of the sites you use? In Denver, there were plenty local shops to go to. But now I live in Indiana there really isn't anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I've been listening to all of the Donnie Darko soundtrack (Amazing bands on there, The Church, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, The Cure) but I wouldn't mind something new.

Could you reccomend some songs Djin?

I know http://www.phusionrecords.com/ is a good source of "hardcore" music.

As for music... I'm currently into Maganature.com.  This site has a lot of "unknown" artist that put out some really good music.  I also go to www.xtcradio.com for the newest and old skool trance around.

As for some "tracks"... Anything from Dj Irene, Dj Venom, Dj Mystic... those are some of the more "main stream" artist that still produce what THEY want to.

Check them out... I know http://www.volumeproductions.com/ is where DJ Venom does his business... he's local to me, but world known.  There's tons of great music on that site...

    www.winamp.com/music  <--- go to "dance/electronic"

    Good music.

Psy trance... I can remember going to a rave on a beach when I was over in Canada [Vancouver Island].

It's nothing like watching the sun come up over the pacific ocean while dancing your ass off... it's fun.

Distance To Goa 1-10 are still sold on online stores. Goa is a great get-away from all that sissy trance. (even though trance is good, it's still quite sissyish)

Acid Goa and Psychadelic is where its at :D

You have to understand what "trance" is all about.

It's suppose to put your mind into a "trance" state and send you somewhere... if it's uplifting, you'll be happy, etc...  I know Goa is crazy!  That non-stop base...  it's just all mashed up beats... :)

I love it...  I spin a lot of Trancecore... now that's trance!

Think about 170bpm hardcore, but trance. :)  Wala!  Trancecore/Freeform.  It's fun... it works, it's crazy! image
