Parties and not much "grind"

okiquit1okiquit1 Member Posts: 7

So I've played Last Chaos and Archlord then back to Last Chaos. One thing I don't much like about them is neither game is good for parties. I like parties. Secondly both take forever. As I was playing LC today I was wondering what would make the game better and I was thinking maybe if you bought skills and stats and stuff with gold rather than taking months to lvl.  (Do any games have you "buy" skills with gold rather than spend hours lvling to get them... or something similar to this? Kinda like faction on Guild Wars I"m thinking)

I really like the gameplay of Last Chaos but the leveling is way too tedious for any sane human being.

I really don't know what I"m looking for exactly I've installed and tried a lot of games. Most of them I can't figure out what I'm doing or where I am the controls are bad or annoying whatever.

I guess I like Last Chaos except for the grind and that as one person put it "the party system is broken." Yes LC and Archlord are both free ones I have absolutely no money right atm.

I was killing something called a poison myst in Last Chaos today. It takes approximately 20 seconds to kill and gives me .2% experience. The poison mist is lvl 39 and my char is 32. Then I find out there was still an event for double xp.  So in actuality I was killing mobs that took 20 seconds (and of course all by myself) for .1% xp at lvl 32. For those of you who don't know the current highest achievable level in Last Chaos USA is 105.  (Another character I have is being apprenticed by a lvl 100 player. When I asked her how long it takes to level, she said "depends on how much money you want to spend" and then went on to encourage me to spend $500 at the cash shop)

(Secondly Last Chaos precludes "power leveling" because they have a skills system based on skill experience points that you get for killing mobs along with regular experience points. Unlike regular experience, however, skill experience is highest when you are fighting mobs closest to your lvl. So in order to get your skills you have to get less xp and thereby lvl slower. Although this system has been improved I did what is called "sp farming" from lvls 1-31 and had just enough skill points to get all of my skills up to lvl 32. After that there are fewer skills but they require more skill points so although acquiring skill points is easiest pre-30, if you do nothing but sp farm until then you have slightly more than the sp required for your level so effectually you are basically sp farming through the entirety of the game, which again precludes you from getting as much xp as you could get by power lvling so they have succeeded in slowing you down on purpose.)

So... does anyone have a game for me with gameplay similar to this but with better partying and less grind?

I've played Guild Wars too, and that has some of these issues fixed, but maybe I'm just stupid, it didn't seem like there was a lot of game content to Guild Wars.

Thanks ahead of time for any help....

I myself have been enjoying Sword of the New World, link to their forums here:

It's very fun and worth a go, but if you'd prefer to use the cash shop in Last Chaos then try the link  in my signature, I'm not going to lie and say you could make $500 easy, but you could honestly make about $50 bucks in the first 12 hours if you're dedicated. Good luck! Also with Sword of the New World, you can grind away from your computer, or, you could actually just earn gold and buy characters.
