This weekend of gaming is starting off with a bang, just got done with a 6 hour game session and it was fun as hell.
tons of people in game and I did not get any lag at all.
had some HUGE RvR battles already ... about 40 vs 40

Must be nice. Like many others, I was unable to connect.
its a good thing this it a test then and they can use this to help fix the last few bugs before launch.
I did not have 1 bug in 6 hours.
I played about 10 hours today, I actually got really tired a few times and that was the only indicator I should stop

Yes it definitely is a good PW. I am amazed at how much they got fixed in the couple days since CB. Things are running much smotther and I only experienced a couple minor bugs.
The release should go very well next month. I think it's ready to release right now and they still have plenty of time left to iron out the few minor glitches that are left.
Very well done Mythic. Every gaming company could learn a few things from the very professional way that this game is being released.

Open beta yes, preview no, also early access if I am correct. However open beta only last a week, so if what you have now is cheaper I would stick with that if I where you.

People smelled a rat all the way up to launch of AoC.
1. The NDA was never lifted.
2. Nobody knew what was past level 13.
3. Failcom conned the public.
I don't see any similarities between the two.
Not really. lol. That got really bad reviews from people and everyone said, "Don't worry! It's still technically beta!"
That and "No worries, there's at least five more magic clients ready to be released any time now!".

Did you even play the open beta weekend every one loved it thats all I am saying . I am not saying WAR is going to fail but I will never listen to Hype again. I will wait to see What WAR is like in # or so months thats all I was getting at so you can keep your 23 AoC hate posts

The beta client is running really well on my system. I played for about 5 hours with only 1 bug, and it had to do with particle effects persisting after casting a spell. Changing weapons got rid of it though. I've also been getting 50+ FPS at all times on the highest setting, and it even ran faster while in PvP... this made me really happy.
I couldn't agree with you more...I at first honestly thought WAR was going to be another flop, but I can say without a doubt I was proven wrong. WAR was a refreshing experience and I have never seen a game run soooooo smoothly in "BETA" of all things.
I can say 1 thing for sure WOW is in deep deep deep trouble.
What is this "Open Weekend"?
Open Beta doesn't start until Sept. 7th...what is "opened"?

In the 31+ part of the beta we had like 200 v 200 and kept crashing the server with a CTD every 30 seconds lol. I don't think WAR is really made for them size battles though because class balance is good in the scenarios but as soon as you get massive amounts of people in RVR all of it is thrown outta the window and it then becomes about the zerg.

Yes myself and a few of my guild m8s got the invite to beta wotlk and yes I played it and it isn't 1/2 bad, but WOW is 3+ years old and it has run it's course, these expansions every 3 years reminds me of EQ and their every few years release of expansions. I still play WOW so if your thinking im a hater, im not. I have 2 lvl 80s and 3 mid lvl 60s. WOW just has too many issues for me that push me away from it such as..
1. Unbalanced classes in pvp (imo theres a huge problem when a single or even several melee classes is in a 10 minute battle with a cloth wearer.."Priest" and this game doesn't require you to be an uber player to kill pve or pvp... Theres no skill in macro spamming..
2. Same pvp battlegrounds over and over..( AV use to be fun until it turned into a "zerg contest") (WSG can be won with a pally and sham or druid)
3. Nothing new to do
WOTLK imo will go much like this...
Race to lvl cap 80.....prob be done in a week or less....Back to the grind...same pvp battlegrounds because there is no new battlegrounds in sight.....wait around another 3 years for the next expansion...

I hope the WoW players stay playing WoW with all the crying that WAR is not enough like WoW.
it's funny... for months you get people complaining its going ot be just like WoW and then when it turns out to be a 100% different game everyone crys its not like WoW....

WAR is very nice. WOW is a great game but it's old news.
