Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Age of Conmen continues unabated I see.

Is it me or does it appear that there are certain individuals are still trying to go door to door on every forum in the land to sing the praises of AoC?

Is anyone else tired of the same tired PR re-rinsed and re-spun?

In all the time since release I have yet to have a stable bug free session. I am still trapped with 2 broken crafting professions after 4 months. No gm help, all they can do is say wait for a patch, when is it coming I ask. Soon.......................

And while I roam aimlessly in the TL server with no direction, my guild in ruins and watching the click tick down on the OB for WAR, I have to ask myself why won't Funcom fess up to the hash they have made.

Moreover why do certain individuals still praise a broken game? Are these people the same in the RL? do they buy cars with 3 wheels and no engine and then push it around the streets showing it off as the latest and greatest pimp mobile?

I am still astounded at the gaming press and Funcom in the continued pr campaign, now focused on DX10 and not on actually delivering new, working content to the game.

When will it end? When will Avery & Co admit openly that the game is borked. There is no coming back for AoC. Too many games are coming out now for AoC to compete. It is already in the bargain bin at my local game store. No one want's it. Hell you can still buy CE editions of the game, which made me laugh.

I wanted AoC to be great, it failed in every way. The worst thing about it all is PvP once implemented has nopurpose. There is no end game period. The players wont be able to create it for themselves as FC hasn't designed any real community/player sandbox tools. WAR will show what real meaningful PvP is about. It won't be the final iteration but it's the first decent leap ina good long while.

Watch this space, WoW will be following on War's heels in this. Expect WoW to change to RvR style in the next year. AoC will still be trying to balance the cost for a horse.

Right time to end this rambling thread, time to see if I can cancel my sub and not suffer the final indignation of being charged after the event.

Honestly, I made the mistake of getting to involved in a game, one time. I will never do so again, once you learn how fast a game can be destroyed you never forget. Luckily this happened to me years ago. I look at every game the same way now, along with the companies running them. Guess what, when you have low expectations you tend to never get disappointed.

Thats is one thing that just pissed me off about Failcom and still to this day it pisses me off. They still think and are saying the have a great game. I mean I feel cheated by Funcom for telling all the cool things AOC is and not have any of the cool things out at release, and to this day still are not in the game. But they keep saying how great everything is and they have 415K subs, uuurmmm bullshit. So when the real numbers come out will Funcom tell us they are sorry? no, will they say they made a mistake and shouldn't have lied to everyone like they did and are still doing? no. So we only have a few days until OB for WAR which will kill AOC. And for the fanboi's, please save your bs that AOC players will not play WAR, yes they will. I played AOC and it's nothing more than a pretty POS game, pretty but no where near an MMO. Felt like I was playing on my Xboy when I logged on to AOC.

I agree. Also the bargain bin thing is true. Ebay also has them for like 4-7 bucks unused from overstock sellers. Thats how you know a game sucks. I don't think I have ever seen a game go into the bargain bin after 4 months thats another new record funcom should talk about in the next interview.

I think it's funny how one could say that A game has no good points, when I can see so many. The ground breaking graphics for instance. Now, call me immature, but the selling point of the game for me was the boobies. Heck, after a long day at work, what do I want to do when I get home, why hack off a couple of heads completely shirtless and watch my goods bounce whilst doing it.

As far as GM help, I don't perticually care for any myself, you have to concider that Funcom isn't a wallmart that you can just simply demand to see the general manager and wave your angry finger at him. They have better things to do, like patching out a great game. If you took the time to concider that just maybe the game has a few more scripts than lets say, WOW, then you could understand why it takes a little longer. It's common sense people.

People say the games random and boring? I just hit level 60 yesterday, and the content has never been more exciting for me. The story line truly intrigues me, and the voice acting is charming.

As far as the game crashing? Sure it will every once in a while, so does, COD4, so does Guild wars, so does every game I play. It's a fact of life, and one has to stop and concider that maybe their computer isn't up to spec if your having a major issue with it.

A lot of "WAR fanboys" actually went to AoC first. I personally wouldn't even have looked at WAR if AoC didn't suck so bad. If AoC actually didn't suck so bad and actually retained customers (wow, what a concept), then there wouldn't be so many "WAR fanboys".

There's so many things wrong with this post, I don't even know where to begin. I'm not even going to bash you for the boobs, that's just too easy. The only thing the graphics broke isn't the ground, it's the game. The "GM"s also aren't 'general managers', they're game masters. They're paid to attend to customers, and not patch that shitty game. Or maybe they really do have their GMs patch that game, which is why it's so terrible. You're level 60, I don't need to elaborate more of this one. Stability issues, even fanboys won't defend this one.

Im getting so sick of the, "maybe your computer isn t" crap. Face it the game is a terribly coded crapfest. I don t care how many people come here and say well it never happens to me, fact is it happens to alot of people that meet or blow the specs away. They need to take this game down , fix alot of stuff and re launch it. I still wouldn t play because FC runs it, and well the game wasn t fun for me. If they did this however they may save some customers in the long run. It seems to me FC wouldn t do this based on some past actions and their money grab attitude.
