I have a razer advanced tarantuala. It hads macro keys that i can loop and make it press random keys with one button push. I yet to figure out why this would be useful. I love the anti ghosting and fast response time on it as features and if they Mythic forced me to not be able to use my keyboard i wouldn't buy it cos it would be an EPIC pain in the ass switching keyboards everytime i wanted to play an fps or WAR.
Get over it. MMORPG's are roleplaying games - NOT SKILL GAMES. To argue that a certain class is harder to play makes these keyboards all the more useful in an RPG where your characters abilities (not your own) are the determining factor. ANY RPG DEVELOPER THAT FINDS THIS TO NOT BE TRUE IS CONFUSED AS TO WHAT GENRE THEY ARE IN!
If you want skill based twitch games play competitive FPS. If you aren't good enough to play competitive FPS then STFU and play your RPG - but please don't forget that it's a RolePlayingGame not a SkilledPlayerGame.
Or play Darkfall when it comes out, sorry couldn't resist
Edit: Ok, I'm calm now. OP, you are quite a funny man. I really hope this was a joke post and that you weren't being serious... because.. I might die from laughter if you were being serious.

These devices should be banned from any multiplayer game. But they should give the option for disabled people and a way so they can prove their condition.
The aura of dumb surrounding this post hurts my brain.
Here are a few bits of information in case some of the posters in this thread would like to more convincingly pretend they know what they're talking about:
1) Using the mentioned devices (a G15 or a N52) or any similar devices does not equate to complex macroing/cheating. The devices can simply be used to remap single keypresses to a more convenient or comfortable position. Having access to WASD, 1-0, -, =, shift, alt and maybe one or two other keys with one hand and the other on the mouse doesn't immediately mean you are prioritizing targets automatically based on HP and stacks of debuffs then (still automatically) using the most appropriate attack for any given situation. It just means you can play a modern MMO without getting a wicked hand cramp or being forced to mouse half your hotbars. Which, by the way, you could fully accomplish with a normal keyboard and an appropriate layout. Well, it would still be less comfortable, but you'd have access to a similar amount of controls.
2) Macroing a string of commands on a piece of hardware is a lot different than a complex script that actually understands and utilizes specific game mechanics. A lot of the stuff that popped up in WoW was simply because Blizzard allowed people to do it. No N52 or G15 software or anything else is going to be able to monitor player and enemy HP values and percentages, combat states, debuff states, and react and apply optimal player "input" at any given time. At best, you could clumsily string together a few simple commands that you may (or, typically, may not) always want to use in the exact order or even all at the same time every time. At best, all you could do is execute a few keystrokes that should be handled by the game anyway, such as changing hotkey trays when changing stances, or something similar. Anything too detailed typically renders itself useless, for example: use this attack, then that attack, then the final attack, then heal self. What if you or the target moves before your hits land? What if you need the heal sooner? What if you need to attack again instead of healing? Had you macroed this out and the situation deviated at all from your plan, you'd be screwed. If anyone is afraid of being beaten by a player using such a predictable and inefficient command string, then perhaps they should retire from competitive play.
3) Complex scripts are most easliy written and applicated en masse when the game developers allow it. Scripts work off of information. WoW is one of the most-commonly-and-heavily-modded mainstream MMOs because Blizzard implemented tools and outputs to allow it. To grossly oversimpify it, think of scripting as a very rudimentary AI. It checks conditions (that you or someone else) sets ahead of time, and when particular conditions are set, it executes a pre-programmed series of reactions. Any kind of statistical or combat monitor would have to be allowed to access some form of raw, real-time data output from the game itself to even begin writing such sequences. Now, pretty much every game can be botted to some extent, but the amount of effort, time, and risk that goes into such a thing (not to mention the likely alteration of program code, immediately violating the EULA of most MMOs) makes it prohibitive (and stupid) to think that having a certain kind of keyboard spontaneously opens up the floodgates to any would-be cheater.
4) The truth is, with the right software, you could just as easily script or macro whatever you wanted to keyboard and mouse buttons. The hardware is only how you input commands. The software governing the hardware is what ultimately determines how that input is utilized.
I'm not going to pretend to be a 100% authority on the matter, and I'm sure someone with deeper knowledge of macros, scripts, and programming than I possess could easily poke a few (or several) holes in what I've just said, but I believe this stands as a general assessment of the topic of this thread.
Thinking:
G15 or N52 = decursive or lazyrogue
Is stupid.
Think, for example, of a gamepad on the PC. Many newer PC games are supporting the 360 pad right out of the box. Even FPS's. Maybe some people prefer the comfort (and "relaxedness") of a gamepad over the typical mouse and keyboard setup's precision. Are people like the OP going to mandate that there is only one method of input, and anyone not using it should be banned from the game? The N52, in particular, is nice simply because it is a bit of a hybrid between a pad and the board/mouse. It allows for way more key strokes than a pad could allow and lets the right hand remain free from the mouse, and is far more comfortable than the average keyboard would be.

That's funny... since Mythic is putting the LCD screen code into the WAR client itself...
