When is beta coming and what beta phase are they in right now? Did they say anything bout open beta?

Well, last I heard the next beta phase(phase 2?) was supposed to start in early september.. but I think that was before they pushed the release date back 4 months, so who knows.
And open beta can start anywhere from october-december from what I heard, most likely december.. there will be one for sure though.

- They are in phase 2 of beta at the moment, moving into phase 3 soon.
- Open Beta was scheduled for October 2004, but now since they seem to be delaying even more, I would guess around LATE 2004/EARLY 2005.

They said it will be announced once they are out but you never know ...
Geez, how come things keep getting pushed back all the time!
Ok, I know why, I just wanted to complain. So, did they delay the invitations?
the game has promise, I just wanted to check it out before I order Ryzom.

From the official DnL FAQ:
What are the different beta phases before retail?
The beta phase will be made of six progressive test phases. Now, the third one is running; this one is about server and engine optimisation, and feature testing (pets and exploration).
The 4th phase should start in October, and will deal with combat skills. The 5th phase, in November/December, will be about the economical aspects. The last phase will start in January, with most of game functions implemented, and some graphical enhancements.
Of course, this schedule may change.
