I saw the Virgin Mary running in game so this is Miracle patch! Besides that, imo: - Pathing is fixed but it needs some work still. - AI was improved, still need some work. - Combat responsiveness and graphic combat was improved. I am surprised aout this in a very good way. Still need some work. - Less CTDs!!! Still they need to keep working on them. I didnt CTD so far but I know some people did... but way better than during PW. In resume, they improved the main problems but they still need more work. The good side is tha they are obviously working on them and achieving good results so far.
Well considering pathing wasn't perfect a year after WoW's realease and was then broken on multiple different occasions, I really don't expect perfect pathing in any game. As long as its not retarded.
Anyone remember Warlock pets being stupid slow? That problem reoccurred at least twice.
If you mean that I'm a fool because I don't follow your opinion of the state of WAR, then I say you are at best uninformed for trying to convince me and other forum readers here the game is critically broken and unfun when it is both well executed and fun to play. I also love it when a person with an opinion automatically assumes they can dismiss a rational course of counter argument by using namecalling and insults. It goes to show the level of their supposed education, but it certainly does not make their point.
It's nice to know you pre-ordered WAR, and I hope you do enjoy playing it. However, all anyone needs to do is click on your name, and then they can see from your past posts in this forum that you have consistently been negatively posting about both the WAR and Mythic Entertainment. For someone who professes to be upset about the manufacturer and the product, it's rather inconsistent that you still want to claim that you are going to enjoy playing this game. I find it hard to countenance that you would really have fun given your consistent negativism. I also would question your apparent masochistic streak if you are looking forward to playing a game you don't enjoy.
My facts are straight. I've responded to your posts in other threads here, and your consistant approach is to avoid a serious discussion in favor of high minded name calling that isn't backed up by facts or accurate information. As far as the meaning of the term 'paragraph', well at least I don't believe that communicating in slide bullet points is an acceptable substitution for proper grammer.

Hmm, I'm seriously starting to question your rationality at the moment.
In fact, I want you post some links to threads where there are examples of me claiming the game <Warhammer> is 'critically broken and unfun'.
This would be extremely difficult for me to do, considering I haven't even had a sniff of it yet, and I don't normally comment on things I know little about.
I can only assume that you have a case of mistaken identity, and when you discover that this is the case, I will accept your apology.
In the meantime, I'm going to /ignore you, because if I don't, you are liable to get both barrels...
1. Congratulations on discovering the 'paragraph'. .
2. " As far as the meaning of the term 'paragraph', well at least I don't believe that communicating in slide bullet points is an acceptable substitution for proper grammer." - I had to laugh out loud at that one.
LOL if you think War needed a miracle patch than I suggest to you this isn't your game! I don't think they are planning to change their game to meet your expectations, maybe you should give Vanguard a try, it's actually not a bad game now. Anyways good luck on finding whatever game (if there ever will be one) that can fulfill your expectations....hey if you ever find that game stop by and drop us a line!
Or as Mark Jacobs said: "There are no miracle patches, just hard work". I guess someone can find the actual quote on warhammeralliance forum. (lol, hero movie material!!!!11)
If you don't like the game now, you probably should find another.
*edit: His mother called me. His name is Mark and not Michael. Michael played basketball and mark was a introvert young boy.
I see Spaceweed10 still hasn't learned what a paragraph is. The "grammer" correction is accepted since I, unlike Spaceweed10, can accept valid criticism, and I am not immune to typographical or spelling errors. Here's a hint for you Spaceweed10, a paragraph consists of more than one sentence. It also has an introductory concept, an exploration of that concept, and finishes with a summary of it's point.
As to where did you imply that the game was critically broken and unfun to play, I suggest you look at the thread title you used above. By suggesting a need for a "miracle patch" you implied the game was broken. Not a direct statement, but certainly an underhanded implication by you. Further by comparing the patch with the failed patch on AoC you are making another underhaned implication that like funcom's failure to deliver at launch, WAR will be a problematic experience. Then I pulled your implication out into the light by rephrasing it more directly and giving you a chance to stand by it, or refute it. You wisely choose to refute your implication.
Combine this with your general whining about a lack of FFA content in WAR in the Open vs. Core thread, it leads me to believe that WAR is not a game you want to play, but it is a game you want to bash. However, you can take that all back if you wish by saying that you do plan to play and believe you will enjoy playing WAR. Otherwise I think my observations will stand unchallenged by anyone other than you.

Try your theory out on an attorney, and don't get embarrassed when he laughs in your face .
You sir, are a very odd human being, and I'm probably not the first to point this out to you. I'm not sure what your exact motive is here, but I'm not going to tax myself too much thinking about it.
I'm wondering if you're just a lonely person trying to make some 'friends' on the net - who knows, eh?
By the way, calling you 'odd' isn't a random insult, before you go whining to the moderators. The first thread of yours I came across was this one:

And it was good.
He went to the houses of the sick and he cured them from lag.

I remember the 'miracle' patch for AoC, and what a complete and utter fabrication that was from Erliar Ellingsen.
You have no idea what you are talking about then. That patch increased performance across all users by 200 fold.
Really?
It must have seriously sucked before it then .
Yeah, 0.2 FPS must have really sucked.
You have no idea what thoughts go through your head when you enter an instanced room (10x10m) without any other pcs and you look up to your fps counter and read "spf 2"
This site has gone bananas with the opening of the next phase of OB . Are the improvements so vast to the game since the PW? I remember the 'miracle' patch for AoC, and what a complete and utter fabrication that was from Erliar Ellingsen. So, here's a nice poll for you lucky guys - if you can drag yourselves away from the carnage for a few minutes . vnboards.ign.com/warhammer_online_age_of_reckoning_general_board/b22997/108485952/p1/
What a bullshit poll. Every single option is a completely loaded statement.
I'll certainly accept the description odd, wierd, or nerd. All of those certainly apply to my personality` and I personally don't consider them insulting to me. Also, I don't usually go whining to moderators because someone may have a difference of opinion with me. I do take a bit of umbrage at general name calling not due to being offended so much as because I think that it is a counterproductive way to carry on a conversation, dialog, or debate. It only serves to prove that the user of name calling can not present a coherent point to discuss, and has to draw upon a lower form of conversational technique to "score" - the insult. Which is then sometimes followed by the lowest form of debate - the threat.
Lucky for me, I don't require that particular toolset because I can think and use polite conversation to make my points. No insults or threats are required to get across my point that many times it is the people who want to play a game the most who end up being critical and disappointed when it doesn't meet every one of their expectations.
Then they sit there and fume and bluster about how horrible their experience was. They tell it to the mountains that the game company got it wrong because they perceived a flaw. This chink in the armor drives them to fret, worry, and cry everywhere the game is discussed. What they fail to understand is that they were not the intended audience for the product. The game isn't broken, but their expectations of what the game will be are unrealistic.
"It's supposed to take away my pain and make me happy!", is how they fervently believe. However, the person fails to understand that their happiness has to come from within themselves, not from some external source like another person or a game. When they bring their unhappy demeanor to a game, or person and expect it to change to a happy one, all they will suffer is disappointment.
In response to Spaceweed10, thanks for the offer of your psycologist's services, but I'm a fairly happy and well adjusted individual. I actually enjoy playing the games I buy.

I am confused by your seemingly lacking knowledge of how this forum works. You appear to have owned someone here, but didn't tell anyone to "QQ moar" or "go back to WoW". Perhaps English is not your first language and that would explain why I can not understand these coherent thoughts and rationales.
Perhaps you could go read up and come back when you are prepared to learn the jargon and go with a simple 'gtfo kthnxbai"?
This forum is not for people Who speak in complete sentences to make a point , especially if you aren't even going to be troubled to frikkin insult someone or the game they play.Sheesh man. L2mmorpg.com.
Edit : Seriously though, I enjoyed your post. I will be watching you. I think many chuckles may be had watching you confuse people with your grasp of the English language and reasoning skills. While my post was a jest, I can picture certain posters on these boards reading your post and being...well...baffled.
To Spaceweed10: by the way, I work with numerous lawyers and frequently argue circles around a couple of them during our lunch break. So don't feel too bad.

Why would I feel bad? Now I'm confused.
I suggest you run this thread past your lawyer 'friends' and see what they say. You have made a judgement on supposition, therefore your argument is immediately flawed.
Let me spell this out in simple language so you can understand.
This thread is exactly what it says on the tin. It is a poll to see how the latest patch has impacted the game, whilst at the same time taking a pop at Age of Conan.
The 'miracle patch' was a label given to the AoC performance patch that was supposed to have fixed many stability issues with the game, just prior to the head start iirc. You allude to it in one of your rambles, so I believe you are with me to this point.
MBJ has also alluded to this 'miracle patch' in a side-swipe at Funcom in a well publicised post he made that indicated Mythic would be producing a much more stable game overall, and 'miracle patches wouldn't be needed. Another poster in this thread also referred to this post by MBJ, and I was amused to see irony sail straight over his head as well.
So, you actually couldn't have been more wrong. The motive of this thread was COMPLETELY the opposite of what you have portayed it to be. Interesting?
I'm sure you will now try to backtrack and try to convince yourself that somehow I'm cooking up one massively intricate smokescreen, to cover up the awful truth, just to pacify yourself and anyone else who for some strange reason seem to think you are remarkably clever, when in fact you look quite stupid and extremely naive.
Have you ever made a post that someone twisted so horribly, that regardless of what you said to defend yourself he/she was convinced they were right. How you /point and /laugh at them until your stomach hurts? How you think, 'omg, that poor sod, I wonder what would happen if I put him in a round room and asked to him count the corners....'
"Miracle patches" are for games like VG and AoC. Also, they are like sasquatch and the Loch Ness Monster. WAR needs no miracles, because its done right.
For what its worth, since i cannot play until sunday, i am HEARING from around the net, that yes this is indeed the first mythical miracle patch in history, and it improves the game 10 fold.
For what its worth, since i cannot play until sunday, i am HEARING from around the net, that yes this is indeed the first mythical miracle patch in history, and it improves the game 10 fold.
This isen't a miracle patch for me.. I'm getting much worse performance than the last PW. And waiting in server queue for ten minutes only to be disconnected is making me sad. ): I do love the new ToK design and the Magus upgrades though!
Agree, the performance is getting worse (gameplay wise, I do have less Client crash). Some bugs gone but many more bugs in. The guard in town wont attack the mob (no point to run if you pulled too many..etc), the rest of the crafting skills still not in. The graphics still the same (higher settings? I dont think so). Queue for servers and scenrios takes soooo much longer. UI still looks the same ...etc
Some good charges includes ToK design (finally no more 15 clicks to get to something). More armour/weapons drops it seems. The quest rewards got slightly increase (still sucks most of the time).
