Should we get another 14 days free? (beta subscribers)

Just thinking of resolutions for the EU customers.
And before someone says, "you did not pay for beta", actually I did. I bought from HMV for £10 a pre-order box. From what I have heard from other forum threads is HMV pulled it as their staff did not take customer details and therefore had poblems pre-ordering. I took the pre-order box down to HMV with the receipt and they said they had no more pre-order places open!!
Should the EU community be given another 14 days free play for the sake of all the problems caused by not being able to register for beta?
I am expecting this open thread to be flamed but all those who would like compensation for the hassle caused, what would you want from GOA?
And keep to the subject please. No posts like well I want "x person sacked" or "a tank so I can run over GOA's data centre", etc etc

no. Beta is beta, no matter what you payed to a retailer. You purchased the game that will be after beta, not before. The beta key was just a bonus to get you to pre order.
If you have any problems, take it up with GOA and the place you got the pre order.

Uhm...beta isn't guaranteed to work even if you paid for it. So regardless of you paying for it or not, it's just a beta. So no, I don't think any of you deserve anything. Get over it man.

Why? Because two months ago I wanted this game to succeed. I want to help fix problems and push things forward. Is that a bad thing?

it 's your fault that you bought acces to a beta client, serious I don't understand why people want to spend money on beta
... would you also buy a prototype phone which uses a new network client and whine that you can't phone your friends who use a normal phone? think about it, same issue

OB is still for testing and working bugs out crashes and patches are to be expected with all aspects of the game including account setup be it the US or the EU. This is not a trial in this case all youy paid for was a chance to get in to play not how long. It's all best effort until the release date.

You? By that I'm guessing that YOU are from the U.S. and have been playing the open beta, and don't wan't us to get anything because that would make you jealous? If the U.S. had this problem, you guys would have responded in the same way.
ANYWAYS, I don't mind it that much, because it's just open beta toons will get wiped so doesn't matter that much. BUT I understand why people are angry about it, it wouldn't be GOA's first mistake..

14 days free for missing a single or maybe 2 days of FREE play time that doesn't even Pass over to Launch? No..god thats Laughable. I could see being upset if you missed say all of Head Start since thsoe characters actually Pass over to the Launch Servers.
Open Beta is ...A Beta...your chars get wiped, the game is usually only in a semi or more than semi launchable state. You are there to Test. Yes you get to enjoy the thrills of the game before live and decide if you wish to keep your pre order but to get some 14 extra days free for a snafu...seriously ...thats just lauhghable.
If they fubar you for Head Start then I could see all the whine QQ cheese threads for privilages.

I feel better, lol. It's simple, this is beta. BETA. That means, testing. If you paid for your beta key, that's your fault. Considering over 10,000 beta keys were HANDED OUT. You should know that ANYTHING can happen in beta. It could last 1 day if they wanted it to. When you purchased your key, did it say "Play for 7 days open beta!", no it didn't. It just told you "get this key, get in beta", that simple. I think it's funny that these EU players want special treatment because they had a delay in their OPEN BETA, lol. Oh I got an idea, LET'S EXTEND OPEN BETA FOR 14 DAYS, YAYYYYYY ...how about that? LOL...
Give me a break. Go play the NA servers. Stop whining about not being able to play Beta when you know good and well mythic is working on this problem that EU players are experiencing. You'll still probably get 5 days of gameplay. I know, you really want to try the game out. If I was still waiting, I would be pissed. I would probably be playing NA servers, though. Considering I preordered and had the game ready to go. I would have got downlaoded and got on the NA servers.
Again, no more whining. Who cares, it's beta. Characters will be WIPED after this coming Friday-Saturday anyways.
So IF in two days time, it is still not up, what are we testing?
Am I concerned about char. wipe, no. Am I trying to get in to test, YES. Would 14 days make the community happier? Who knows. What do you suggest?
Don't worry when it goes "live" there is going to be a ton of issues.. and you can then ask for a free time extension to your free time...
Personally what I want is a device that sends a 50,000 volt DC shock (non of that wimpy AC stuff) to anyone that posts "its only beta" when the product is close to launch and will have the same issues then. If nothing else it will help cut down on the number of "its still in beta" posts.

Fourteen days ? No. But I could see compensating in some way since you were enough of a customer to at least pay to give it a try

Well if some people were not prepared to take this risk, we most likely wouldn't have half the new technology available to the mass market. No dvd's no new grphx cards, no new form of media hardly at all. It's those first few people who put premium cash down (usually way, way higher than the eventuall mass market cost) that decide whether a product ever even hits the market in the first place.
In the EU, this game was marketed such,that you would not get into 'open beta' unless you pre-ordered. They also made it clear that this wasn't really beta at all but a finished trial of the game.
Also for the guy stating there should be no beta's at all, genius. Now all the EU fully paid up subbers would be paying to beta their registration, login, and game servers with the issues which we have now.
Fact is, the game seems good as far as we have had feedback from US players but feedback was good/excellent from the AOC beta's and early access players. While a lot of potential EU players will have already been put off by the situation so far, there will be many others that are just looking to vent but will play anyway,...eventually they hope.
