Have looked all over the internet at this issue but not found a solution yet.
When i downloaded the client, i had this error message stating that files were missing and to re-install.
I did and still got the same issue.
Today the game arrived (hooray) just installed it and again, i've got the missing files problem?
It goes to patch and then that's it, the error message.
What can i do, is there an install on the computer corrupting new files?

I have a ticket in to the CSRs at Mythic regarding the same problem. I can't try it since I am at work, but try and delete the file patch.cfg (I believe that is the name) and try running the patcher again and see if it works. If it doesn't work I will let you know what the CSR reply says when I hear from them.

I'm at work too....tried it at lunch all excited like a little girl only to be let down.
I missed my early access because of this problem....really not impressed at all.
The guild i set up is already in game and levelling, i had to get my friend to create it, there all about level 15 now...grrrr
Run a full file check, that is of course why the patcher gives you the option to do so.
Sometimes the patcher doesn't pick everything up if you downloaded the entire game from it.
STOP WHINING!

I've been told to make sure i have no remains of any old installs or files etc...so clear all directory of wars charred remains.
Will give this a blast and try later....so frustrating.
Try calling them on the phone..they have a support phone number ... I never understand why people send emails and sit around waiting when there's an 800 number.
Because this happened at lunch when i was at home...and now i am back at work.
I thought that it was a good idea to ask if anyone else had this problem with a fix so i could get home and try it quicker then getting home and phoning them.

If Dronuk and I are having the same problems, you don't even get as far as the option to sign in. What the patcher is trying to do is update to the new interface but it isn't being allowed.

Oh i get the option to sign in and i can....it accepts my username and pass.
After that it tries patching and gives me the big middle finger telling me that files are missing.
Hmm very interesting. Maybe I will have to try and reinstall the game again. . .or maybe I had that bug where the patcher runs twice and one stays running hidden in the background. I might have to run home at lunch time and see whats going on.

has anyone figured this out yet? i just did everything - file check, uninstall, reinstall, the hokey pokey and turned my self around and NOTHING. i just want to play.......... still getting the "Files missing, reinstall message"
FOUND THE SOLUTION TO CD USERS.. put DVD 2 into drive and right click and open in my computer..
go into data2 folder and drag the contents or just art2.myp into your warhammer online main directory then run patcher..
dont ask me how i found this out lol geek like that ;P

I fixed it this way.
Delete everything on your computer slightly WAR related....this means putting out a search for WAR on the whole computer.
With that done i closed down the auto load on the cd, went into my computer and right click run from there...
When installing it i installed it to a hard drive i never used before and i also changed the location of where i was storing the actual startup.
Hey presto works first time....
reply to the data folder with the art file... yea my disk 2 doesn't have that file. earlier i tried the whole copy both disks into folders and tried to install from there - no go. missing files that wouldn't install again. i also tried the delete all WAR stuff... last resort - i just sent boyfriend to store for another copy (needed another one eventually for 2nd account anyways)
hopefully new disks work and i can began having my life sucked away from another MMORPG

It's not your disks that are the issue...i thought that but knew it couldn't of been....
Delete it all and try installing to another hard drive if you can.
Okay.. I really need some help now. you were right, it's not the disks. I tried downloading from a new box - same thing. My boyfriend downloaded on his computer and works fine. I am looking for a customer service/technical support phone number - NOT the 650-628-1001. That is automated and does not lead to a live person.

So getting new disc didnt help. I have tried everything else here and nothing has worked for me.
yea. this sucks. right now, i'm going file to file on my boyfriends comp and finding the different files that don't match up - deleting mine and replacing with his...
i wasn't able to try the download to another hard drive because i only have one.. have you tried that? seems to work for other people with same problem
so... that didn't work. this is getting ridiculous now. is there an alternative to downloading it to another hard drive if you only have one hard drive?
i have this EA num i was going to try 650-628-1905
