i'm thinking about joining wow again after eons of being away from it... i'm totally out of the loop right now, but i wanna know.. in order to play the wrath of the lich king, do you need to have burning crusade first? my guess is yes, but i just want a concrete answer.

Yes, you will have to have BC before getting Wraith.
BC alone will probably be $19 real soon ( currently $29)
or you can buy the battlechest if you no longer have the original game, it is only $39 for the original + BC
ok, thx! see you in wow!

Cool. Hop on Fenris server and look for a guild called Nightmare Prophecy
Yeah good luck living in the ghost world town known as WoW. when you graduate WoW university, feel free to hop into WAR! :P see you there!
Good grief, where did that come from? Someone asks a simple question a this child throws a pointless and incorrect point into the topic. And no, I am not a wow fanboi, I will be playing War as soon as it comes out, but to think that that it will make a noticeable difference to the wow servers is rather laughable
I'll ask again cus ya never know.. can i please have your stuff?
Woot purple item.. where? WHERE? ... need purple ... purple purple purple.
BC 29.99 + WOTLK 39.99 = 69.98
WARHAMMER 49.99.
Which would your rather spend?
I just quit WoW for WAR and I'm loving it. Don't get me wrong WoW is a good game, I just feel that WAR is a better one. I just started up WoW again 2 months ago and while there are people in the lower levels they just don't like to group at all unless its for a Dungeon. WAR its just starting and there will be plenty of people to party with.
But hey enough of me trying to get you to come to WAR. If you really wan't to try WoW again then go for it.
umm.. yeah.. compare a game + 2 expansion against a new release.
With that WOW purchase, you get like 5000 hours of questing, about a hundred dungeons and 4 years of polish. With the wow purchase, you have at least a year or two of new content to explore
With that Warhammer purchase you get a game with no endgame, a few dungeons, and 3-6 months of bug fixes. With that warhammer purchase, you will be at endgame in a month and have to wait 6 months for anything new to get added. There are players at lvl 30 already (out of 40 levels) and that is in 3 days.
Are there really? That's insane. I'm only level 10. However I've only been playing since Tuesday, there were some who got in on Sunday, so I hope the ones that are level 30 are the Sunday people. If they got in on Tuesday and are level 30 already, that's some serious game playing.
WOWWWW... yeah I forgot that WoW and WAR are the SAME EXACT GAME... you have to be kidding me... the games contrast so much its not even funny. RvR vs. Grind-your-life-away... take your pick

Every copy of War sold is a free publicity to join some real world PvP in WotLK.
You know the original just got better.
See you in the queuing line on Nov 13th (glasses and a false beard are allowed np).
I believe that WAR is being launched - and with you being here, my assumptions are:
1. you don't play WAR.
2. if you're at work, then you should've applied for annual leave, unless WAR is not that worth it for you.
3. WAR is not that good for you, that trolling WoW forum is more fun.
4. all of the above
Ok guys dont scare this one away. I mean we've already lost Chiram and Minuitmaid. pbmark50 is pretty much the only troll we'll have for a while. He needs to be protected. Had a good laugh reading a few of his posts on these boards. Yea he dose'nt have the polish of his predicesors but just give him a little time and you'll start seeing posts like "meh same old crap" and "stay with your 4 year old bgs and 3 arenas".
I mean hes already left wow to "hone his pvp skills" in WAR. Specimens like these are very rare. They need to be protected!
Oh the almost Obzerer. How your name is mispelled is so cleer and wise. You TRULY are the almighty. Your WoW almighty knowledge of MMOs and how they should run neer ends. I only wish for the tomb of knowledge which you have learned from.... WERE NOT WORTHY!!!! WERE NOT WOOOORTTTHHHYYY!!!
Uhm...it's Tome....Tome of Knowledge, not tomb. A tomb is where a dead body is stored. A tome is a book. (Yeah, I realize those definitions are really simplified, but meh....I don't feel like looking the exact definitions up right now.)

And now you've made MY day...ty
@Pbmark50 -
WOOOORTTTHHHYYY is not a correct spelling. Its spelled "worthy".
Also, WERE should be We're. For we are, not were.
As far as capitalization, please refer to the following rules.
Capitalization
Rule 1. Capitalize the first word of a quoted sentence.
Examples: He said, "Treat her as you would your own daughter."
"Look out!" she screamed. "You almost ran into my child."
Rule 2. Capitalize a proper noun.
Example: Golden Gate Bridge
Rule 3. Capitalize a person's title when it precedes the name. Do not capitalize when the title is acting as a description following the name.
Examples: Chairperson Petrov
Ms. Petrov, the chairperson of the company, will address us at noon.
Rule 4. Capitalize the person's title when it follows the name on the address or signature line.
Example:
Sincerely,
Ms. Haines, Chairperson
Rule 5. Capitalize the titles of high-ranking government officials when used with or before their names. Do not capitalize the civil title if it is used instead of the name.
Examples: The president will address Congress.
All senators are expected to attend.
The governors, lieutenant governors, and attorneys general called for a special task force.
Governor Fortinbrass, Lieutenant Governor Poppins, Attorney General Dalloway, and Senators James and Twain will attend.
Rule 6. Capitalize any title when used as a direct address.
Example: Will you take my temperature, Doctor?
Rule 7. Capitalize points of the compass only when they refer to specific regions.
Examples: We have had three relatives visit from the South.
Go south three blocks and then turn left.
We live in the southeast section of town.
Southeast is just an adjective here describing section, so it should not be capitalized.
Rule 8.
Always capitalize the first and last words of titles of publications regardless of their parts of speech. Capitalize other words within titles, including the short verb forms Is, Are, and Be.
Exception: Do not capitalize little words within titles such as a, an, the, but, as, if, and, or, nor, or prepositions, regardless of their length.
Examples: The Day of the Jackal
What Color Is Your Parachute?
A Tale of Two Cities
Rule 9. Capitalize federal or state when used as part of an official agency name or in government documents where these terms represent an official name. If they are being used as general terms, you may use lowercase letters.
Examples: The state has evidence to the contrary.
That is a federal offense.
The State Board of Equalization collects sales taxes.
We will visit three states during our summer vacation.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been subject to much scrutiny and criticism lately.
Her business must comply with all county, state, and federal laws.
Rule 10. You may capitalize words such as department, bureau, and office if you have prepared your text in the following way:
Example: The Bureau of Land Management (Bureau) has some jurisdiction over Indian lands. The Bureau is finding its administrative role to be challenging.
Rule 11. Do not capitalize names of seasons.
Example: I love autumn colors and spring flowers.
Rule 12. Capitalize the first word of a salutation and the first word of a complimentary close.
Examples: Dear Ms. Mohamed:
My dear Mr. Sanchez:
Very truly yours,
Rule 13. Capitalize words derived from proper nouns.
Example: I must take English and math.
English is capitalized because it comes from the proper noun England, but math does not come from Mathland.
Rule 14. Capitalize the names of specific course titles.
Example: I must take history and Algebra 2.
Rule 15. After a sentence ending with a colon, do not capitalize the first word if it begins a list.
Example: These are my favorite foods: chocolate cake, spaghetti, and artichokes.
Rule 16. Do not capitalize when only one sentence follows a sentence ending with a colon.
Example: I love Jane Smiley's writing: her book, A Thousand Acres, was beautiful.
Rule 17. Capitalize when two or more sentences follow a sentence ending with a colon.
Example: I love Jane Smiley's writing: Her book, A Thousand Acres, was beautiful. Also, Moo was clever.
"The public is wonderfully tolerant. It forgives everything except genius."
-Oscar Wilde
I realize you mean, but given he's a business student, I don't he'll really learn those rules...Allz he cares about will be da moneyz.

A little off topic, but speaking of misspellings, its "Obzerver" not "Obzerer". But (typos not withstanding) i totally get the point your trying to make. Power to you i say, power to you my brother!!
