So I am having a bit of a PC upgrade next week. At the mo My PC runs like muck running WAR. So here is what I am upgrading,
AMD Athlon 3000+ to an Intel QUAD core
X8OO GT to an ATI 4850
1gig to 4 gig
What do you guys think?

Sounds good to me.
You will need a new Motherboard I think.
4GB is unneeded for WAR, but go ahead RAM is cheap and more won't hurt.
HD4850 is a best buy and will offer great peformance in any game.
Also make sure your PSU will be strong enough to handle the new config.
Your MBO has to have a PCIe x16 slot.
