Aww, nuts. I didn't actually watch it but was just wanting to keep your thread alive by posting an ignorant knee jerk post.

It was a pretty decent episode, but I have to say... everything that Maya touches dies, and that's NOT due to her power.

It was kind of boring, the first episode of boston legal was better. I dont know, i expect a lot from heroes so i will probably watch it all regardless.

Never got into the show.  I watched a few bits of a couple of episodes and it just didn't do it for me.  Can't really explain why.  Maybe it was a bit slow to get to the action....

I have watched all the Heroes episodes because they are somewhat well done, and make for quite unique and somewhat dramatic televison, but I have never really loved the show. Honestly, I thought the second season was the best, especially the first half of it with Feudal Japan. Apparently fans actually disliked these episodes the most.

If they got rid of Ali Larter and every character related to her, cut the crap with the Indian guy's little side-story, got rid of the South American chick, gave up on the bone-headed ghost Linderman thing going on, and possibly left the cheerleader behind(Sorry but I think she dumbs down the show) they might have a show. The main characters left are always very interesting, even Parkman is pretty fun to watch because he is much more down to earth and especially now that he has the Africa thing going on. Oh, and stop with the future crap already. They did that in Season 1 and 2. First an explosion, then a virus, and now some type of mutant energy wave?

Lastly, what was that crap with the Cheerleader's mother lighting her hand on fire? We already know she can do it, everyone in that room knows she can do it, so why the hell do they have to remind us? Even if they felt it was needed, having her light up as soon as she entered was lame.

I really hate when shows feel like they have to remind the audience of something in really lame ways.

I haven't seen it fully yet but OMFG is it TERRIBLE.  As a screenwriting student, I'm seriously CRINGING at the poor writing and the terrible directing.

    Just terrible lol.

Omg, yes! That bugged me so much. I felt it just killed the realism in it.

It's like, "Hey. I know you know, and I know everyone here knows. And I'm not going to explain why I'm doing this except uhh...It's uhh...maybe dark in here. So I'm going to randomly light up my hand to explain to everyone else that is a viewer, but yet since this is a drama and there aren't suppose to be "viewers", but yeah, I can make shit catch fire."

    It's just so...AGH!

    But I still like heroes.

I found both new episodes to be very spectacular; what exactly did you find wrong with it?

Spectacular? Are you bloody serious? I mean no offense to you but I would think it would take a child to enjoy what I just finished watching...

The writing is incredibly bad both in the way of story and dialogue, very cheesy and over dramatic.  The actors are doing what they can with the material but it resembles that crappy show 'mutant x' which basically plays like a high school drama class decided to do their take on the X-Men.

    It's laughably lazy and uninspired.

The directing is also very lame, predictable and completely lacks any originality or realistic sense.  The mothers flame-hand reminder 'slap in the face of the audience' is just one of many things that drove me crazy about it... ugh... so bad... so very bad... I'm going back to watching my Dexter DVD's.

I gave up on Heroes around episode 3 or 4 of season 2.

  • LackeyZeroLackeyZero Member Posts: 640

The episodes didn't bother me. I enjoyed it..

Honestly, man does my memory sucks... I totally forgot what the mother's power was. And if the cheerleader didn't say "mom?", I would have had no clue who that was.

Wasn't the last episodes in Season 2 dealing with that immortal villain guy and Peter (The main character's name is Peter right?) getting into that building and getting the formula after Peter knocked out the japanese teleporter guy? EDIT: read wikipedia... okay, so he caught the vial. I still don't remember...

P.S. - seriously, my memory is awful, I can't remember their names... I remember Ando though..

    *SPOILER WARNING*

3.01 was bad, 3:2 was better but still, I found them wanting.

Ok, Zachary Quint is a very good actor and he does Sylar very well, but damn it is time to remove that character from the show.

He is unimaginitive and has no agenda that we know of, he is just a pointless serial killer that gets more powerful for each kill, making it less likely that we get rid of him.

That they keep him alive after his capture just made me cringe, or Kring, and I actually turned the thing of at that point and continued watching later.

And bennet emptying a clip in Sylars chest?

    Come on?

It should have gone into his face, he is surely a good enough marksman to do that at that distance, after witch he should have reloaded again and again, burned the corpse and sent the ashes into the sun.

STILL, I am sure they would have resurrected him.

The speed bitch was just cheezy and the whole Hiro Ando thing wich used to be one of the high points of the show took a big dive.

Mohinder going all bad and nuts was a s well not very well done and how he decided to stay from just one tiny bit of info he should allready have had if he had any brains just made the whole thing worse.

    Lets hope he do die.

    What more?

Oh, the "new villains" that are let loose, come on Tim please? More Sylars?

The beauty of the show was the hidden agendas, the different factions that all had huge backings, not knowing who is friend or foe, etc, etc...

Ugly looking villains that are only in it for the thrill kill?

    Really?

The bad Peter VS the good Peter? not fantastic!

I like hat Linderman is back in a way, if it is only in his imagination or not I do not know but that is the kind of characters the show needs.

I liked the black man in the end, it hints at some new plot and that there are greater things behind it all.

The formula that Hiro and Ando is after is obviously the formula that Mohinder was able to make in a way but a fully functioning version, I do not see that as a plot really, it is obvious why someone would want it or would want to destroy it, all black and white when we need shades of grey.

Come to think of it Claire and Matt are the only two characters I actually care about anymore.

Not sure it is worth it to watch the show for them two alone.

Hey, just realised I rambled a bit, but it had to be said.
