does it have pvp? and why does every custom characters look like dwarf?

Yes, although I'm not sure how many people do it. My guess would be not many.
I've never seen a character that looks like a dwarf. Maybe you have your sliders pushed all the way to short and beefy?
Outside of stations, type the /pvp command in the chatwindow (same thing for the people you want to fight). Inside of a station, you can challenge players for the dueling arena
