So ive been playing the game since the CE headstart. The first 20 lvls are good, their fun and keep me going. But after i started gething into the T3 zones it all turned bad. I did Chapter 13 with my lvl 26 char and only got 1/4 of an EXP for doing all the quests. Pretty much the only way to lvl is to grind SC's now. The game changes so much for me after i hit T3.
Anyone else gething the same feeling?

No. But as this is your feeling is not much important what others feel, isnt it? If you dont have fun, you should move on to a game that will give you fun.
In case you stay, I hope you restart having that fun. In case you move on, I hope you find fun soon.
Much luck.
The zones all move more and more to Pvp. there is almost no pve content in the 4th tier zone. Not sure if i will make it all the way but Im gana give it a go.
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. I'm in T2 and I did notice that leveling does slow down drastically after a while...
Hmm, Mythic's been constantly tweaking xp gain rates during this initial period to help spread population across the tiers.
We'll see how it'll turn up. I'm sure that if players progress too slowly it would be easy to change those rates.
In addition T3 is pretty empty right now because the majority of players haven't reached it yet. Maybe you rushed a bit?
I had the same problem when I rush leveled my first toon to T2 where I realized no one is around to do PQs scenarios and RvR.. I made an alt and leisurely played it in T1 till I felt that T2 is populated enough for my main to have some fun.
Now I'm in T2 and taking my time, concentrating on seeing stuff and getting renown and tome unlocks. I'm certain that when I get to T3 it'll have a nice healthy population so I can enjoy the game fully.
So you don't level like crazy. What's the big deal?
I think the deal for the OP is that it looks like he has to grind to lvl.
Well I dont quite agree since I dont considder RvR grinding and I have gotten half my lvls from killing other players.
To the OP you do know that there are 3 different T3 double zones right? And if you just must lvl via quest then try the other T3 areas.
Also do as many PQs as possible. Its good fun, good XP and good gear.

He is giving an opinion on the longevity of WAR, that s what Forum are all about.
Negative feedbacks are as good as the positive.
I do agree with the OP, I played WAR for almost a year in Beta, and I find it boring after a while.
There is almost no PvE, and the PvP gets repetitive after a while.
Hence I didn't buy the game (lol I even gave a chance to Vanguard and AoC, but WAR was so boring I didn't even bothered)
So there u have it, another negative feedback.
Deal with it, or go back to your cage, where no one will disturb you.
Yeah, i did notice the same thing. PQ:s are all empty and quests dont give the exp to level up fast enough. I'm stuck at 25 lvl and cant get any quests from chap 16 before im level 27 (i've done all the previous quests). Problem here is that you dont get enough xp from T3 quests. Thats a good thing, since its easy to fix.
Answer to the question: Yes, i do get the same feeling.
There are a few things to consider:
1) You've outleveled most people, meaning there isn't going to be too much RvR going on in tier 3. Believe me, I'm rank 24 and scenario queues became hit or miss as soon as I outranked tier 2. Maybe you should take a break for a few days; play an alt, play another game, don't play anything.
2)If you're leveling mainly through PvE, you're really going to need to visit other racial zones to keep your character's rank current with the chapters.
3). Check out the Mount Gunbad dungeon in the Badlands. It's a multi-winged dungeon filled with a ton of quests and public quests and some pretty nice rewards and armor set pieces.
You have done all the tier 3 quests in all 3 racial areas and still don't have enough xp?

deal with a pvp game that is supposed to be pvp-centric, having repetitive pvp?
how so? because all you do is fight other players and try ti take objectives?
orly?
i can't speak to t3/t4 very much as of yet; but t1/t2 certainly has a crapton of pve, especially the surprisingly long quest-lines i've stumbled across here and there.
not much to deal with, when people just throw out "hey, here's my opinion-live with it" silliness.
hey, i could put my hand up a cow's butt, but wouldn't i rather take the butcher's word for it? that's how you kinda feel like when you read "hey, it's my opinion, i didn't really say anything other than i found it boring and repetitive; but hey, it's my opinion"
-- you're left feeling "wtf??? you said something, but it didn't really give any meat/information about WHY you're making those statements..." so yeah, it's your opinion; but it doesn't tell anyone anything other than you're not articulating information about your points (or lack thereof).
so big ups for your negative feedback that tells no one anything?
really?
i don't like your negative feedback because you didn't give any feedback. and it's a forum and i'm entitled to my opinion that your opinion which has nothing to substantiate it, is essentially useless to the reading public. isn't that how this "it's my opinion" silliness works?
i bid you good day.
i said GOOD DAY.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
You leveled to fast compared to the standard player. Most people are only halfway through teir 2 right now.
The game focuses more on PvP as you level up. Teir 3 is only going to have a little bit of PvE. The idea is that you are to hop into the game. Grab a quest. After that quest you get a call to arms by our guild or whoever. You enter the RvR zone and destroy fools. Log out. Next day you rinse and repeat. You also do lair quest (instanced dungeons) around that level too.
It's hard for you to level right now because there aren't enough people to PvP with. I suggest you make an alt character and level him for a while till the majority of the server catches up.
Why not fly over to the other 2 zones and complete PVE quest there That way u will be 75% of Tier 3 done in PVE
I am enjoying so much RVR that I have stopped doing PVE quest as I am lvl 11 and want to play more and more RVR at that lvl
Come lvl 12 I will have to go to tier 2
dune,
Thanks for the tips, ill start an alt then and come back after a while.
And to the other commenter: no, i didnt do the other races quests. The problem here is that the PQ:s are all empty in my area, so i miss alot of xp. Thanks for the tip tho
Yes you start to need every PQ and every quest youb can find when you hit around 30. There seems to be enough content but the leveling slows down a good bit.
But also keep in mind you have the vast majority of your abilitieis by lvl 25 and after 20 it is more about mastery points.
I would say the first half of the levels are very vertical progression. Second half is much more lateral as you spread and out into a specialziation and do lots of differnt content types. Omse of the low level 20s in my guild are just starting to do tome unlocks and things like that.
Unoftunately if you are ahead of the leveling curve on your server and can't easily get groups to do the PQ fairly quickly and to completion. This starts to mean things get slow, grindy and you may start fighting +3 or +4 mobs because you are running out of quests.
So if you are lacking the significant xp from RvR (scenario or keep battles) and can't get PQs done or at least stage 1 done fairly quickly you will start feeling the quest content sort of stretching off in the distance.
The game needs other people there is no way around it. Its not WoW.
Erm...no.
If you can't find enough quests, your not looking for them. There are three racial zones and most of those are split into two or three areas per tier.
You can level 1-40 without any pvp and without grinding a single mob outside of quest and PQ's, many players have already done this.
Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy
Grinding out kill collector mobs seems to net some really good exp if you have a small to large group.
Leveling is fine to me. I'm actually having a lot of fun running scenarios.
Actually yes. Exp feels really slow and the Scenario is unbalanced in favor of Destruction.
But I'm holding on tight anyway

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
If you like the game and this is the only complaint against it just tough it out until rank 30 when you can do T4. That is where most of the action will end up anyway. I hated DAOC while leveling up, found the PvE boring as heck but once I got to end game i really enjoyed it.
I loved WoW while leveling up but once I hit end game it was boring as heck at max level because of no real PvP other than stupid TM vs SS stuff.
My point is if you went through the first 26 ranks why quit when the start of end game is just 4 ranks away.
- I think people forget there are other Tier 1 thru Tier 4 Zones and only do their Racial quest side.
- Some people dont even do their City quests which helps the city unlock certain dungeons as well.
- People just jump into a game an expect they know everything within a week or 2.
- No one dares goes thru ther ToK and try to unlock key quests.
3 ways to level as well..
1. PvE questing / Dungeons
2. Battlegrounds - PvP
3. RvR - PvP
To me, its hard to focus on which I should do when I log onto this game.
Lack of content in this game for leveling, I dont think so.
I just believe alot of people are just burnt from mmorpg's and look for any excuse to get out, which I cant blame them, mmorpg's are a HUGE timesink of ones life.
Yeah if you are not having fun, it is probably best if you play something else. On the good side there are other mmos out there that should feel better for you. If not, I guess mmorpgs are not the genre for you.
Hopefully you'll find something that will be to your liking. Good Luck.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Yea I was wondering if the OP has tried doing the dungeons in the city and t3 areas as well? Those give alot of xp, as does what others have mentioned, doing the other racial pairing quests.
Cheers!

People are starting to hit a wall in leveling even when doing the other race's content, basically killing PvE replay value. Here is a continuation to a 66 page thread voicing concerns about lack of leveling content and having to resort to grinding on mobs.

As someone else said, if you don't have fun, may be this is not the game for you.
For me, the game is moving too quickly to my liking, I am actually leveling faster than I want. One RvR scenario at level 10 gets 10% exp into a level and I am already level 12 and I cannot do RvR scenarios for Tier 1 anymore
And most people are still doing Tier 1 quests and I like to be with where most people are. T2 areas seems empty compared to T1 zones.
Remember guys! There are dwarf-orc, empire-chaos and high elves-darkelves zones..
Do all the quests in all of the zones.
