I loaded the game and it's laggy.

I'm adding new memory and adjusting my system but I NEVER HAD TO DO THIS with WOW. Does this game takes alot more horsepower than WOW ? Should I be concerned. Sorry for posting before I open my computer and start messing with stuff on the settings but again: why did I not have to do all this adjusting with WOW ??????

or you know maybe they really are having issues, just like all the other people who are having the same issues, i had to adjust a lot of crap to get the game to run a lot better too, i never had to do that with any game i have ever bought.

My gameplay shows obvious signs of latency issues but since there is no latencybar ingame I can not really confirm its the problem.

What I can say is that Im not enjoying playing the game like this.  So... Just wait - hope and see.

    Im in Europe btw.

Of course it takes more horsepower then WoW. WoW is 4 years old game what did you expect.

I recommend at least 2 GB of RAM if you are having memory problems.

    Posting your spec would help.

Yes, but since WoW will run on an Asus Eee using it as a benchmark for other games is, perhaps, not the best idea.  WoW's system specs are incredibly low compared to the computer tech available today.

I understand there are other people having problems.  But the question is why do so many others NOT have any issues?  I have two computers in my house.  Both of them have 4gigs of ram, a 2.8ghz core 2 duo, one of the computers has a GTX 280 and the other has a ATI X1800.  Both of them run the game very well, granted the GTX system runs at 1920x1200 and the ATI system runs at 1280x1024.

If it doesn't run well on your computer either give it time for optimization, upgrade your comp, or quit all together.  Another thing that causes a lot of issues with people's computers is the crap that they download and the crap they unknowingly download.  Run a virus scanner, run the defragmentor, run any other system diagnostics possible don't just use the ol' "This game runs like crap on my comp, it must be a crap game" excuse.

    It's a Jeep thing. . .

Its not lag as in bad latency.

    Its your FPS probably.

I have problems on a very good system but its due to the bad coding.

From what I tested it worked better with an old 7900 graphics card then with an 8800gt or 9600gt.

So its probably not your computer sadly.

Funny how everyone blames 'bad coding' instead of 'shitty drivers' everyone knows that since the Series 7 cards Nvidia's drivers have gone seriously down hill and been problematic at best.   I have a decently spec'd but not high end computer and an 8600 the only time i get any drops in FPS is during Sieging and im smart enough to turn my graphics setting down in order to avoid most of it.

this is first game.. ever in my i dunno 8-10 year gaming time.. where i have such thing i cannot explain.. apart poor optimization. memory leaks.. and no will to bogle around fixing it in some magic ways..

since you didn't post your specs no one can truly answer your question, but as others have said WoW will run on rediculously low system requirements so if you are the lower end of that then no you will not run war smoothly, but war also has pretty low system requirements also, other than that as far as i'm concerned everything runs fine for me on maxed settings, 1920x1200 forced 16qaa, 16xaf and multisampling.  runs well even with 50 plus on screen at once.

This game does take significantly more resources to run than WoW as everyone has said. (and 2x the ram for the Vista) Its a memory hog. As with all these newer games, if it says 1 GB Ram to run for requirement (as this is ones), youll need two. Im not counting the do-it-yourselfer comp geeks who know how to do all the tweaking necessary with shaders, aliasing, bit this, byte that. The average person is gonna have to overbuy on their comp specs if you dont know how to work the game settings like a pro.

Think of it like ordering a 16 oz soda from Burger King. Youll get a 16oz cup with soda in it, but about 4 or 5 oz of ice, sometimes more. So dont believe youll run it at min reqs posted on the box  WELL unless you are completely defragged, no junk running, and you comp in very good shape. Then after that, youll probably have to tweak some more in the game settings even. The days of buy a game and load it up with min specs without the tweak somewhere are over. Wow is about the only game where you can actually play on the min reqs, which is why you can play it at work on crappy computers under your boss' nose.

Ive always had a issue with the "min reqs"posted for games, as if devs think people have stripped down comps with no programs or apps on it other than their MMO and a timeclock. This one is no different.. youre gonna have to beef up your system or wait for Wrath of the Lich King, which will, guaranteed run at the bare min specs Blizzard posts it for.
