In my mind - you are dead wrong. The MMO does not need to follow the time line. It does not need move at a pace specified by you, or by the way 43-minute episodes are released over time due to an advertisement driven franchise. It has promised only one thing, and that is to build upon the LORE of SG. So it has Jaffa and we know what that is. So it has Asgard and we know what that is. We will see Zat'ni'katels and not be baffled. That is what is has promised. If it should stick to the show, it would be a bad MMO . It could only make use if the weapons shown. Only one Jaffa is actively part of SG-1 so everyone playing Jaffa would have to play Teal'c. Everyone would have to experience the exact same things as their characters did on the show. It would be awful.
What they does instead is to build the MMO on the lore. So we know the environment. We know there are Stargates, staff-weapons, zats, goa'uld, and all that. That means they can use that material and still be true to the show. They can even expand upon it (yikes - a quest in the game not shown on the television-show) and it would still be true to the show. Binding it on hands and feet like you suggest makes for a very bad experience when we want to see if it can swim.

OMG saw the mid season end finale
Daniel questions as to why the aliens are still on with there heavy armor suits .There is a suggestion tht probably coz the have frail bodies.
I thought could it be possible that it could be the some aliens lei the asguard ,That would be awesome.
I wonder if the wraith can feed on an Asguard.
