What Media Franchises would you like to see be made into a MMORPG?

purewitzpurewitz Member UncommonPosts: 489

With games like Star Wars Galaxies that have been around for a few years now. Current ones like Age of Conan and Warhammer, plus ones that are on the way like Star Trek Online and DC Universe Online. What Media Franchises would you like to see made into a MMORPG? Me personally I'd like to see G.I. Joe and Transformers(Either the movies or G1) made into MMORPGs. Now its your turn to answer and discuss.

When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!

    Deus Ex would be AWESOME.

Also, I'd like to see a witcher type themed MMO. Darker, gritter feeling.

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

Hmm, is few that would work well:

Forgotten realms: Im surprised we havn't seen it yet, Im still hoping Bioware will make one when they have the time...

Wheel of time: Have a lot of fans, I bet the female gamers would be all over that one...

Shadowrun: Is a lot of talk about it, would make an awesome game.

Willow: Would work nicely too but maybe the lore is a litle thin.

Naruto: Would work fine as a MMO, all those ninja skills is great for a game.

Mad Max: a post apocalyptic game would be intresting to say the least.

Mad Max and Willow sound like some cool ideas. A Ninja game would be cool too, I think I would go with Ninja Gaiden. I think Ryu Hayabusa is a cooler ninja than Naruto, but thats just me.

The Macahans Online. I've always wished that I could be Zeb Macahan and walk around in a tight leather outfit that is practically fused with my body.

Other than that, my number one wish is a DDO 2 set in Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk. Keep the awesome combat and character creation, lose the instancing and create an open world (ie make it a MMO).

Disc World Online, that would be a totally different experience!

Where else can you meet Death in person and risk falling of the edge of the world while sailing?

    Kingdom Heart Online.

I know I am not the only here that entertain the idea.

Like the Naruto, Harry Potter and Kingdom Hearts idea!

I'm kinda interested for a Hunter X Hunter MMORPG...

Larry Niven's novels = The Intergral Trees and follow up book The Smoke Ring.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

I'll go for Avatar: the Legend of Ang, it was a good series produced by nickelodeon. I've watched it from the start till end. It will be a war against the four nations and you can create your character on any country you want. Each country will have their own story to tell. It will be the battle between the four elements. But lately, if you'll obseved Atlantica online, you might seem to think of it as a piece of literal arts, some characters was based on literal figures and even historigal figures like Morgan la Fay, Count Dracula, St. Joan of Arc and many more. Ayt~

Yeh, I would love to see a Hunter X Hunter MMORPG.  The world setting is good to use for MMORPG.

Pokemon and Digimon are two that can work well also.

Super Robot War, Gundam, Dune, a few of the online novel that I read have potential...

One Piece, Fairy Tail (an interesting manga).

    Current MMO: FFXIV:ARR

Past MMO: Way too many (P2P and F2P)

Forgotten realms seems like a must to me.  i would not mind a command and conqour online (would have to be an rts/fps).

personally i think Harry potter and Pokemon would do very well but i dont enjoy either world and it would be full of kids.

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

Although I object to most of the retarded anime suggestions, I do think Pokemon would work as an MMO.

Not Digimon, though, because fuck digimon.

Although Dune was a fantastic idea. I would love to see more Sci-fi stuff.

Saying that, I would like to see:

Firefly/Serenity (I hear this is in production, but not sure if that's true..anymore.)

5th Element (God yes. the movie rocked. The look rocked. It would make an awesome MMO.)

    Heavy Metal

    Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy

    That is all.

    Groovy.

Oooo, like the Pokemon and Digimon ideas. Haven't fully seen the others though I'm familiar with One Piece and Gundam and they do seem to have the potential.

Let's hope there's a game developer out there who's reading this and might consider our ideas...

    Wow! There's one already? Sweet!

    Oh snap!

    How could I forget Farscape.

    The Labyrinth...eh, not so much.

An MMO based on the Cthulhu Mythos would be an awesome idea, if done just right. Terminator, maybe. If done in the future.

Funcom is making a Cthulhu-esk type mmo called secret worlds, but after AoC, I don't know if anyone will want to even know more about it.

    Groovy.

A pokemon mmorpg? not quite bad.

Why not digimon? They were cute just like pokemons?

Another good franchise might be Yugi-oh - the original series not the copy cat version.
