What will happen if DF doesn't deliver, and it will be just a pile of crap as the other just released games?

If Darkfall doesn't deliver, I think the people that are really looking forward to this game will be very sad. They will either temporarily abandon MMOs for awhile or return to something like EVE.
I would think all the immature haters would come out and make up bullshit as to why the game failed...except I'm not sure if they'll still be recovering from WAR being a total failure after the population sinks when people realize that game sucks.
In the end, WoW will still sit at the top, for no good reason.
I have just one question and one statment.
Has anyone from MMORPG gotten an invite to the hardware testing ?
IMO this community is a mess. How did it evolve into this train wreck

So your saying that you are egocentric enough to expect people to surrender their beta slot before play-testing begins, but that they are not egocentric enough to refuse to do so.

Closed Beta has been going on for a good while. Open beta and launch is what we are waiting on. System Testing has already started and may be done at this point time but we do not know (The part we may not know is if it is done yet.).
And you can be sure of comming soon, Open Beta ends in the Beggining of December and launch soon after. Looks like there going with an old Staple, release for Christmas.

yea it has not the playtestign part of but the hardware testing did which is part of beta so yea.. ><
Someone said that there was an estimate on release. I'm wondering because I don't know if I should start another MMO or wait.

Was thinking more along the lines of epic fail.
This thread does have one or two amusing post though, so that saves it from being a complete failure. Reading fanatical post from the DF supporters never gets old. They are like pure comedy gold.

As much as I hate to say it I have a really hard time believing it's been in Beta since April. And until some folks on these forums can say that they got an invite and are involved with any form of testing, I'll have my doubts.

If Dark Fall is in beta. Why is it listed as 'orange' (under development) on the games list? Shouldn't it be green, as in beta testing?

No really the thing is, that DFO has been tested (oh how many times have we said this now?) internally by paid testers.
-I will not put anything personal into that (good or bad with small amount of paid beta-testers, instead of a horde of free players)
But that is what Aventurine have stated, since begining of this year, DFO has been tested by paid beta-testers, this will, according to Aventurine, ensure a very short public beta.
At this moment in time, Aventurine has stated that it has allowed a very small number of players to join the beta process to test for hardware glitches, they have been chosen purely because of their hardware speccs, that you had to send in when you applied for beta.
So wether or not you think that:
Fewer Paid betatesters will be enough to complete a closed beta or not, according to Aventurine (who is the only one with the info) it has been in closed beta for almost a year now.

Again, I say I don't believe that. I haven't seen any posts from any of us 'peeon's on any MMORPG based forums claim to be in the beta... So, for a game that has been in beta since last year, who's testing it? And can they prove it?
