Soulbound Items in Atlantica Online.

Haha, i yet discovered something that most of you most probably know by now. But still i would like to share my excitement.

As players either enhance their itmes, it gives a glow except a few shall we call, "special" weapons that has a glow even if it has no enhancement made.

There arte two ways of enhancing a weapon/armor.

One is through the enchant stones where two identical items(be it an armor/weapon) will use up an enchant armor stone/enchant weapon stone accordingly. In example, we have an Asura 's rifle+2 and yet another of the same type and (+). So this will use up 3 enchant weapon stone and then there is a 100% chance of increasing it to the next + number which is three in our example.

Another method of doing this is through the enhancing NPC in Rome (Vulcanos). In this process, we only use a weapon/armor not two and an enhancement stone. On this one though the % of success is not 100% and a chance of failing with the weapon/armor geting destroyed is added.

Enough said on enhancing/enchanting ones weapon. Today, together with my crafting skill on bows, i was able to add up all my bow crafts in to one +7 assassin's bow.

Now after the process the bow became sealed and so i was surprised. So i took my chances and unsealed it then i equipped it on my Hero. Looks like at +7, the weapon/armor becomes soulbound after equipping it to a hero/merc which made me more excited as i find this something cool.

Just wanted to share this one with you guys.

If i find something that interests me again in the future, you'll hear more.(I mean read)

Can you enlighten me about the soulbound item? How am I going to attain that kind of item? Can you tell us the secret?

I have read something about that somewhere in the WWW. I don't quite remember what it is exactly, but these items that are made too strong will be bound to character who made it to avoid abusive selling. As all of you already know, one can craft a number of items in one go and you can have all of them at +5, thus making the task of upgrading not so difficult. I think this only applies to items above level 30, though this is just a mere speculation.

Well I know that soulbound items cannot be traded to other players when you unseal them, but can you still upgrade them to +8 even after you unsealed it? And if you can, does it become sealed again?

As i experimented on this one, the soulbound in this case is to the entire group that you have meaning you and your mercenaries. Now regarding the inquiry in the quote, yes you can still upgrade it to a +8 and it becomes sealed again so you can sell it to the market. If unsealed, it becomes soulbound meaning the item can only be used by you and your mercenaries and if upgraded becomes sealed again and so on and so forth.

What i need to try though is what if you were able to enchant it to +10 you unseal it? Will there be a way to seal it once more?

Hmmm, i'll test it later and will post soon regarding this. lol

So soulbound is just literally a protection by the user from any players who stole their items because they cannot use it??? it is just more on a personalize equip?? are there any bonus stats or bonus features when you have a soulbound items???

Yea its like a personalized equipment that only you or your mercs can use. And no it does not have any bonus stats(none that im aware of anyway).

Edit: I think they do this to make it harder selling +7 or higher equipment.

well its kinda hard for me to upgrade my bow up to +7. I'm currently using +6 assassin bow.

Maybe after i got some enough money i'l upgrade it to +7.

Its quite an effort, but most people with +7 items won't sell them anyway until at a much later time, and maybe never. There are many mercenary classes under one category so one weapon would really be helpful to have a spare weapon for them.
