Problems Downloading

Judasgoat98Judasgoat98 Member UncommonPosts: 158

Does anyone else have problems downloading this game? I played it before on my laptop, it had Vista 64-bit Home Premium, it and ran fine. Now I'm trying to install it on my desktop and it's not working. It has the same OS, and it has better specs then my laptop. When it's installing, it gets to about 95%, and then stops. I figured it was the PlayNC thing so I tried to download it seperately, and that downloaded about 68%. Any advice?

I havent' ever had problems downloading it.  Where are you downloading it from?  Are you on a campus or other secured-network location?

Nope I am at home on the same network my laptop used. I have Guild Wars on this computer, but I do not have the PlayNC (I can't find it anyway). I downloaded it for CNET and the main site, and still got nothing.

You could try downloading dungeonrunnerssetup.exe from the ftp site:

    Linky...

or, if that doesn't work, one of the big setup files (probably the gold master, which you'll need to patch up, afterwards):

    Linky...

Tried all the setups. None of them work, they all stop downloading in the 90% range. =/ That's to bad. I really liked this game to.

Other than packet loss stopping the download, I can't think of what's causing it.  I'd try running the diagnostic tool from their ftp site.

I know that their network folks identified some traffic problems getting to NCSoft network assets through certain carriers (Verizon and Qwest a few weeks ago), but I haven't heard of anything recently.

Tried the diagnostic, didn't work. It has something to do with the folder it is downloading into, Appdata/Local/Temp/NCSoft. It says that there are files already in the folder, and it asks if it should use the folder as a default folder. When I say yes or no, it still doesn't give me the option of were to install it to. When I try to find the folder, it's no were to be found.
