Warhammer is one of those games

I have to say, I've been saying a lot of terrible things about this game and it is terrible. The first problem is the community, no one talks to each other, and you don't get that enjoying environment. Second of all, the guilds suck, no one wants to talk in the guilds, I.E. Divinity of Skull Throne, you ass holes! Third of all, there's no competition, where's the competitiveness, where is indepth storyline, and where is the fun, the awesome, and amazing things?
I couldn't even making it to level cap because the classes were so boring, back in Age of Conan at least i made it to level cap because the classes were so fun to play with, besides the unbalanced PvP and nothing to do end game, but in Warhammer end game is vast but boring, gosh darn people make the classes next gen like Crysis or something.
Why something as boring as Warhammer. And this only way I'll go back to this game is well ,the only way would simply be uhh, the population has to get over 1 million, then I think I'll go back to Warhammer, but this game is pointless, I got deprssed over this crap, but that's ok, like Age of Conan, my back up was Warhammer, like Warhammer my back up is Aion Online, going to be the best game ever.
So, what's the fate of Warhammer. Simple, the fate of Warhammer is so simple, all you have to do is in this world, you have to.....have less than 1 million subscribers, and that when i'll know this game will be a failure. Yes, there's so many dumb mmos like Age of Conan, Tabula Rasa, Lord of the Rings Online, that have less than 1 million, and they are crap. So if Warhammer gets more than 1 million.
But I don't know if I'll join back in becuse the game seems so pointless. In Final Fantasy XI, it was working with your guild to do end game events, very fun, storyline great, graphics were crisp. In warhammer, it's quite opposite, there's no point, no one to work it and a world of meaning less PvP that is FUN?! No, the moment isn't fun cause the classes are so freakin boring.
So, I'm ranting on saying warhammer was a crappy game, but after waiting for 3 years, and getting dissapointed, what would you say?

personally i like it. my guild is ever growing and we are very talkative but you do always get the ppl who wont talk if their life depended on it. last night someone made a warband and we charged the keep that the order was fighting and we fought back and forth for hours. so on my server anyways (ironfist) there is competion and groups to join

I like the game as well. I usually hit a "wall of frustration and disinterest" by this point with any new MMORPG. The good ones win me back, the bad ones fall by the wayside. Here, I'm still having fun and can't even think of playing another MMORPG at this point.
I was going to check out WotLK (I have two mothballed level 70s in WoW), but if things keep up like this with WAR, I'll be passing on WotLK on release.

Why do so many people assume if you don't LIKE Warhammer, then you MUST have come from WoW. There have been a LOT of players from OTHER games that haven't liked WAR either.
I'm not saying his post was spot on or anything...everyone has had different experiences with WAR, to be sure, and some LOVE the game. That's all FINE, but FFS....when Warhammer players make comments like the above....it just makes you look as stupid as the WoW fanbois do.

What find funny, but really funny on this boards, is the amount of stupidity and lack of insight from many, I guess that after a career of 8 years in universitary teaching it would not surprise me that the average person lack insight - paradigm of the current education, we make parrots and not individuals capable of thinking
I see people here talking about mmorpgs and 1 million subs, 2 million subs etc, without even understading that very few games ever passed the 1 million mark. And among the few that have, only one kept growing, the others imploded.
In fact before wow almost any company would be happy to sustain 500 000 subs, And even more funny , after wow almost any company can be happy to sustain 500 000 subs also.
Mostly because wow is an abnormality when it comes to western made mmorpgs. It actually passed the boundaries of a game, to become a paradigm or a social phenomenon when it comes to staying power .

Jump back in, the water is fiiiiiine! WOOHOO!
I've been playing for four years now, and other than a few month long "burnout breaks" I had to take....Blizzard never fails to amaze me.
Each time I've "come back" (although I never really LEFT, so to speak), I've come back with a fresh new level of excitement and even with 6 level 70s....I STILL find fun things to do and see.
Right now I'm getting my next "babies" to 70 to be ready for WotLK with my others, so I'm workin' on the 65 rogue and 60 druid that are now my latest "loves."
The expansion is gonna be fun! The latest patch, after it got over it's initial "hiccups"....has been a BLAST."

i liked the OP...kinda made me feel like i was drunk. or at least listening to someone drunk.
my first mmo was wow, had only played console games before that. it was a magical experience for a few years. then i learned that you suffer if you ever get attached to anything in an mmo cus they change. with TBC the game changed in ways that lead me to eventually quit (1 week after buying epic flying mount HA).
since then i have tried many mmo's, ones that have been out for awhile and new ones out recently. i've only encountered disappointment. so, i remain hopeful that there may come another game that can mimic that sense of magic and fun i had with wow. but i'm starting to think it was just me getting my cherry popped.
warhammer was more of a disappointment than others relatively. i knew it wasn't for me by chapter 3.
To answer your last question I would probably explain why I did not like the game and then leave and not come back. That's exactly what I did with AoC and I don't feel the need to post in the AoC forums about the game. It sucks in my opinion for a myriad of reasons that I have stated and that's the end of it for me. Once I spoke out to the community about what I didn't like (which I know they don't give a crap but it made me feel good) I then went and spoke with my subscription dollars. After that there's nothing more to say. You've said your peace, nobody cares, speak with your money and move on. People are much more likely to listen to your arguments when they are constructive and well thought out. Not, this game is crap, everyone sucks etc etc.
WAR is like a line of Cocaine, packs a great punch and drops off faster than a prom dress @ midnight.

It seems everyone has fine memories of their first MMO. Some are deluded and seem to have forgotten the problems the game had and others recall it all yet still are fond of it.
My first MMO was Everquest. I still search for the feeling I got when I first made my way out into Nektulos and looked around. The thing about nostalgia is that most never experience the same feeling again, same goes for MMOs.

the only problem with the game right now is how big it is. , and unless you are running a top of the line quatily computer with a good 2 gig of memory and good video card , you wont be enjoying this game at its full potential.
the devs had this in mind, they were making a game that would last 15 years, at least , and the way computers keep advancing more and more. by the time 2012 hits allmost all computers would be able to play the game with a whole lot of programs going with no lag in game with 300+ people sieging in rvr while you are in the mix of it.
thats what they had in mind,.
as for the people who run wow and say , best game, won't be saying that for long , or probley have stoped saying that all together.
the game is going to take awhile to get to 100% enjoyment, just like all new mmos
after 2 or 3 years down the road, the only complaints im exspecting to here will be
