Welcome to the game!  I'd recommend you check out the official boards at http://boards.dungeonrunners.com - there's not too much discussion here.

I just got done playing Dungeon Runners for a couple hours.  It's a decent time wasting game but it gets old pretty fast.  I tried playing a mage type guy but I went through too many potions so I play a fighter.  Not much thought involved in this game though.

if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
    if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end

    It's a nice, relaxing hack&slash game.
I enjoyed it for a while, but due to 100% instancing I was fed up playing whole time alone, without ability to kill some crazy kiddos ;)

    That's all I can say.

Dungeon Runners isn't really a MMO - it's more like "MMO-Lite" as the lead developer puts it.  Think of it as Diablo's bastard stepchild who staged a coup and inserted more modern features and a snarky sense of humor.  If Diabloesque hack-n-slash isn't your thing, no biggie, but that's all there is in DR.  I've personally suggested (as have other players) several options for diversifying gameplay (badge hunting, mini-games, contests, an open pk instance, etc...), but nothing has been implemented so far.  As much as I like the game (and I've played consistently since beta), I can definitely see why other folks would get bored and I think it needs to be addressed.  DR is designed around the concept of a 15 minute casual encounter, but the reality is many players love to play their newest game into the ground, after which they move on.  I'd rather see changes that keep players interested in coming back again and again (a solid remort system would be great, for example).

Regarding playing alone, try the auto-grouping system (just open your group and anybody in your level range who searches for a group will automatically join you), search for an open group or use the group screen to see who has what open in your level range.  If nobody's open, send them a tell and ask if they want to group (just  like in any other MMO).  Even though WAR touts this feature as groundbreaking in a MMO, DR has had it since the beginning.

BTW - there is a pvp server where you can enter a queue and duel, either one-on-one or in groups.

I like the idea of an open PK area, but I imagine too many players duking it out in one area would require more resources than they can or would like to devote, plus that sort of thing is a magnet for drama queens and balance nazis.

What would still be fun and might be more feasable in the context of what they already have is being able to set your party as PK legal to each other. It wouldn't be too effective for PVE of course, but that way you and some friends (or strangers) could go off and fight each other in any dungeon you like without anybody else (or their PVE rage) getting involved.

Much better to get a response on the Dungeon Runner forums as Rhinok suggested. Not much action in these forums probably because it is not on the left side of the site in the forums section.

Here I made it a clicky for you...hope you don't mind Rhinok.

You can always advertise in game or watch for people wanting more and join them. The more you join or make groups the more likely you are to find someone who fits your playstyle. That would more likely help you in finding the right groupmate.

They have posse's now which would also enhance your luck in finding someone to group with.
