The Warhammer + Dark Age of Camalot joint subscription offer .

I just noticed in the my account area of Warhammer that they are offering a joint sub with Mythics other game Dark age of Camalot which seams rather interesting depending of course on the cost . Unfortunatly i ve not been able to easily find details on what the rate will be . Does anyone know details for Europe ?. If its only two or three pound more it might be worth it and also worth playing Warhammer more than the odd month i currently intend to play .

If they'd release an Origins server I'd come back in a minute and pay full fare, forget playing WAR.

    No kidding.

EA wants WAR players to see how RvR should've been implemented.  This was my single most dissappointment with WAR.

    1.  There are no "legacy" servers in DAOC - whatever those are supposed to be.

    2.  The combo offer is only for EU servers.  It is 3.50 pound saving off of your DAOC monthly subscription.  It is more of a discount for 3 and 6 month offers.

    3.  If you want real RvR combat, go play DAOC.  DAOC > WAR.

Like i say i doubt it ll happen but it would be a very smart move . What do they have to lose . I doubt the majority of people pay to play more than two mmos a month . Some may have life time subs to things like lotro like myself and play another game as well . I still think War offers decent pvp and its worth playing .Maybe not every month for months on end though .

They did release 'classic' servers a couple of years ago, and many people did come back at that time.  Those servers and when the game was initially released were my most fun times with DAOC.

If they do release the 'origins' server, I will almost surely play on it.  The population of the game would probably triple for awhile and after 6 months or so baseline again.  DAOC has faded more than some games have and I'm not sure why that's happened, possibly the various balance issues.  Ultimately the server population issue and some classes being overpowered probably dropped DAOC's possible population by 50% over the last 4+ years of its existence.

It still is the best MMOG made yet I'd say.  Personally I think that if a MMOG-design company kept releasing new servers every 6 months or so, the lifespan of a lot of games could possibly be extended indefinitely.  There is a big draw for people to play on a brand new server when it's first released; it's probably a bigger factor in whether people will play than anything else is.
