So uh... What's with the control for vehicles only being able to be used with a joystick. I've tried mapping the keys to the keyboard but it was just a mess, a complete mess and seems impossible.
I guess a positive thing outta this is it makes people play infantry, if everyone had could use vehicles and planes i could see there being no infantry.
Aswell a quick question, do you need a Joystick or a Controller.... the joystick is the one that you use with one hand right?
Aswell if anyone cares to tell me how they FLY with planes using the keyboard feel free to post you're keymappings via screenshot or something.

A joystick is highly recommend...especially for flying!
The new open beta version 1.29 will adress this and offer better keymapping +support for key+mouse steering. You can also download a certain file to map it to keys now...

Life is too short to play bad games.
Its very easy when you get it.( :P )
You can steer everything with the keyboard, but flying will not be fun and get you owned all the time, since even flying WITH joystick will get you owned all the time in the beginning.
Here is a screenshot of my settings:

Just movement with WASD or mouse.
Important thing is the O (letter) (its default to this), it opens the hatch and will give you more vision, however your crew can be killed easier.
I suggest only to open the hatch with the Commander (number 2 in a tank).
The . del key zooms in, very usefull when you are at the gunner (number 3)
And to answer you 2nd question:
With joystick we mean 1 hand joystick yeah.
Ok um,
How do i replace the joystick with the mouse control.. like edit out joystick..?
Double click on the button, then just move the mouse from left to right or right to left to change it to mouse x-axis. (might need to move a few times if it doesnt get it)
Can anyone share their keymapping for Flying? keyboard that is.
Screenshot please!!
You can't fly with ONLY your keyboard, you'll need keyboard and mouse.
Its easy.. just change the joystick axes to the mouse axes...
You'll crash the first 5+ times trying to lift though...
I don't know all the default buttons but procedure to lift off is:
E to start engine
Press + RPM twice so you get a message: max rpm
Full throttle/gas
Steer with the rudder or brakes, so you lift off in a straight line
When nose goes down press G and gently "pull back stick"( think this is the - yaw) , and fly in like a 20 degree angle to gain altitude.
Could you possible just take a photo of you're controls?

Okay so:
move mouse forward is nose down
move mouse back is nose up
move mouse left/right is turn the plane around while you stay flying in the same direction
I is 100% gas
U is 0 % gas
E is engine on
B/V to switch between economic continuous and max rpm (press B twice before you lift off)
Mouse left click is fire primary weapon
Mouse right click is fire secondary weapon(not available on all planes)
Mouse wheel click or . del is to zoom in.
G is gear up/down
That´s all you need to lift off .
