Does everyone have a PC that can actually run this game? I have:

AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 Ghz

3.00 GB Ram

Windows Vista 32-bit

Nvidia 8800 Ultra w/768 MB

Never fear, the devs have done simulations, and reported 30-60fps during a 400 man battle, on a moderate PC.

    /snicker

I'm just trying to decide if I need to upgrade to have smooth playability.

Im really thinking this , but just in case ...

By what the dev's have said ( which is all we have to go on at this point) your system should run the game great , they claim to have had 200+ in a battle with 40-60 fps on a "moderate" pc , we have yet to see this , tho i am going to hold them to their word till i actually see for my self .

Thanks but I'll be lucky if I get 2 fps, maybe 5 at the most. I better throw another 8800 Ultra(SLI mode), 1 GB Ram, and downgrade to Windows XP just to be safe.

Wrong, they said they will START to let more people in on or AROUND nov 10th.

Meaning they might let a few of those thousands or people who applied in soon. Tommorow was never stated to be a definate

What a typical DF 'promise'. Plenty of room for wriggling out of it.

    Q6600 OC'd at 2600.

    4Gigs

    Vista 64

ATI 4850 512mb, which got better marks than 9800GTX+

When Darkfall sees my rig, it will melt into beautiful playable Framerates

I plan to play the beta on a   windows XP, 2.2 quad core AMD 9500 phenom, 4gb ram ddr3 kingston, Geforce 8600GT 256 ddr3 card, 7.1 HD X-FI onboard audio.

     I'am upgrading to a Geforce GTX280 1gb 512bit ddr3 card in late december.

I think they are going to make it were if you own a 2.2ghz single core, 1gbram 7600 128mb card you can play it but settings will have to be low and lag spikes may occur.

  • CamthylionCamthylion Member UncommonPosts: 220

They said signing up date for BETA testing doesn't effect how and when you get in, also said the only ones that will have an advantage will be those whom are active in the community "forums" and those who meet there requirements for system specs.  they want to test wide range of computer specs.

  • kotzkotz Member UncommonPosts: 100

It seems that u need 4 gig of ram, and a graphic card that is deacent... The CPU isnt that important anymore

  • daarcodaarco Member UncommonPosts: 4,275

I will upgrade. Its my job as a customer. Aventurine will make the game and will get a computer for it : )

Even 200 plus is a fucking joke.

World of Warcraft has low poly models and some of the best Net code in the entire world and would lag like my grandmother with 200 people on screen.

You haven't got the credability to make predictions, you are a troll and a bad one at that.

"wow have the best net-code in the world" where do you get this stuff, its priceless..

My eye-brow went up because you have 64-bit hardware and 32-bit operating system.. switch to vista 64-bit it is much faster.

There will be a sudden and inglorious retreat back to obscurity again...

Happens everytime this game is "ready to begin testing"

Looking at the SHABBY graphics it should run on a P3 :p

It does but to be honest with Windows New OS around the Cornere why waste money on Vista, Stores here in Australia have already stopped stocking Vista or are trying to flog them off cheap anyway.
