It seems that after the not so great Tabula Rasa and after being shot into space which somehow awakened a new interest in him, Richard Garriott decided to leave game development and pursue his newfound interest.

I'd think it was stupid to hype up Tabula Rasa with his name. And hopefully he will do something more UO-like.

The guy has good ideas, just the execution isn't always up to standard. Hopefully he can come up with some decent for the next game that isn't destroyed from over-hype like TR was.
