Im impressed with Atlantica Online

I joined the Argos server...good for newbies I've heard.  As an mmo vet that started in 1997 with UO and played ever game, including WoW which bored me after 6 months, this is a very very refreshing twist on the mmo genre.

This game may only last me a few months. . .time will tell but everything in Atlantica seems strategy-based and player-based. . .it sure is addicting.  I find myself actaully thinking about battle tactics (it's a must) and how I manage my character through-out game-play.  I would think it might appeal to RTS fans as well as mmo fans looking for something very different.

Now for those that use the (what i think to be meaningless) lack of character customization arguement for not trying it. . .granted it isn't as broad as WoW, but the breadth and depth of "attention" you give to your game-play by having to craft nearly 90% of what you have, the huge world, story-line quests, tacticle battles, man is it fun.

For those that enjoy the mind-numbing WoW-type simplicity of repetitively hitting the same key over and over in combat. . .this may not be for you.  But I think it's worth taking it for a test-drive since its free to play.

Actually, I was going to post to ask for some advice on new games. Since you have said that this is a turn based type of game am i right? I'll have to check this and maybe try if i will like it. I'm fond of playing rpg console games with this type of battle, so maybe it will click right for me.
