scenarios and world rvr

Scenarios are little games which reset when players fail to secure the victory conditions or they beat the victory conditions.

World RVR are massive games which reset when players fail to secure the victory conditions or they beat the victory conditions.  Basically if you don't beat the right rvr target in the time expected, you get a reset.  Even if you win, after some time, you get a reset.  It feels like a large scale scenario.

Taking objectives feels too gamey to me.  It is like instead of  taking a bridge to prevent the other side from crossing, you are getting points for it.  Just venting a bit here, but this isn't what I was hoping it would be (my assumption pre-release).

There have been a lot of people complaining about scenarios being played instead of world rvr, but to my thinking, it seems like the same game only different in size and numbers.  Anyone else feel the same way?

The main difference is you seem to get a lot more XP & renown from doing a 15 minute scenario than you do from RvR.

In RvR there is reduced XP and renown for killing someone who died recently. This doesnt happen in scenarios as you die/spawn and run straight back in. So I expect the difference is a lot more people die in a scenario. Plus you get the big bonus if your side wins.

I think they need to set scenarios on some sort of timer so each scenario can only be played once per hour. Then put them on at different times.

I think the feeling of RvR and Scenarios are different. I have to tell you that I've enjoyed the Scenarios far more than the RvR.

The majority of RvR fights that I participated in were mostly gank fests where we outnumbered someone and chased them down. Not my type of thing. I was in a few much larger fights which felt more like the sieges of Lineage 2, and those I liked but they were a bit haphazard.

The Scenarios had two somewhat equally matched sides with a definite objective. And you could practically have non-stop action. I don't know, I think I prefered them.
