HEY!! Dude Lyan is an extremely well respected and informed fan site member, I think you've got the wrong idea on what she was trying to say and carried it way too far.
There's no need to get all crazy when all that was pointed was that there are NO open beta for NA/EU, in lieu there are preview events were our impressions are still taken into consideration, if this is what you meant by OB then say so and edit your OP since it is technically misleading for the general gaming populace.

Lyankyj is well respected on these forums and on AS and i know she is absolutely right. Oh, and calling people idiots won't get you anywhere.
Right, what about the price of the actual game itself? Or can you just keep on using your Open Beta account and only pay the monthly fee?
I think that would make a heck of a lot more sence to do it that way. Thats how WoW did it and I liked that, it helps on the cost, instead of going out to purchase a $40 disk you can just upgrade the account; hope that will be the case.
WoW didn't just have everyone upgrade their account. You could continue to use the Open Beta client if you wanted, without having to update again, but you still had to buy the game and upgrade your account with the serial number in order to log in to the game.
We know when the game come out with the Gold Preview and other But to an idiot like You I don't say anything.
Maybe to another member in this forum ...
Hm...why would I be an idiot? Because I pointed out what you say is not true?
Either you are not member of AionItalia and you lied about that too, or you are not worth to work with an official fansite, since you're sharing infos you or the public not supposed to know... even so, you lied, coz you simply cannot have these infos (read my prev post why).
You can choose.
Oh, and please change the source of the infos in first post to the original one and if you could mention the translator who did it would be just great, since these are originally were translated by someone else. Thanks!
Get off your high horse, no one needs to get belittled over something so small. Why don't you take the higher road for once. I believe him, and obviously others do too. Maybe you should take a break from your snotty attitude and grow up. I will take any info from anyone, as i'm sure others would also.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
And oh, just because it launches soon in Korea, doesn't really mean it's getting close for a Western release. I'd say atleast half a year until it's released. Faster depending on if they have a company releasing it here in europe/states and such. Buut yeah, only time will tell.
In fact you are wrong This is Corea :
Non-European names are romanized with a "C" (Cambodia, Canada, cocoa, Comanche, Congo, and even old Canton, for example) except where the first letter is followed by an "e" or an "i", (as in Kenya). Other than that, the "K" spelling is used only in connoting childlike ignorance of spelling conventions ("Kitty Kat" and "Skool", for examples).
Therefore, the American "K" spelling is
1. offensive from a historical standpoint (remember "Peking" and "Canton"?);
2. violates western rendering conventions;
3. suggests a lack of sophistication toward Corea; and
4. by connoting naiveté, imputes a lack of sophistication to Corea and its people.
The Corea rendering will ultimately become universal when more Americans are educated as to the offensive and relatively recent origin of the "Korea" rendering.
I believe him, and obviously others do too. .... . I will take any info from anyone, as i'm sure others would also.
Sorry, for pointing out false and misleading informations that could hurt some minor part of the community, not to mention the credibility of a precious fansite.
If something is about Aion and its community, I take everything kinda personally... simply because I'm one of the fans too, and when there's a chance to avoid confusion, I'm trying my best to clear things up.
Well I have been involved in doing localization for a game and I just do not believe an organization like NCSoft won't at least be doing an extensive closed beta cycle for Aion localization. MMO's today are far more complicated than they used to be and players demand a polished product. I am sure NCSoft is very aware of that fact.
So I will be quite skeptical of anyone claiming that there won't be one.
It's pretty common knowledge that there won;t be a beta for Aion in NA/EU.
Now normally, I don't get pissed off on forums but As for you Devil, I'm not mad about fake information, I'm pissed that you fucking copied hellrose's translation and put it off as being your stupid fansite's. WTF? I think me and most of the 15,000 members of Aionsource would be apalled and INSULTED by this offense. Do us a favor and stay away from any other forums about Aion because what you have done is totally UNACCEPTABLE.
It's almost 2010, and I am just not wiling to tolerate clunky graphics while being told that "gameplay is more important than graphics". That excuse won't wash with me any more. I expect my games to have both good graphics and good gameplay. -Quote Isoke(VN boards)

In lieu of beta testing, Aion fans will be given opportunities to participate in a small number of Preview events before the game's release. In addition to soliciting player feedback, the Preview events will help prepare for Aion's release, as well as provide a great gaming experience on launch day and beyond.
As with Aion's release date, the schedule of these Preview events will be announced in coming months.
Upgrade? As in using the same account without having to pay anything apart from the monthly fee?
Yeah, if I remember correctly I downloaded WoW from the original site, then upgraded to a p2p account after my free trial period was over. They started billing me only the monthly fee, the only thing I had to pay for were the expansion pack I missed which I think was only $30.
So yeah, hopefuly this is how they do it. I never read where they said there will not be a NA CB or OB, that would make sence though because they have spent so much time on testing sofar. I really don't mind not having a beta here, everyone starts on the same pace, fine by me.
Yeah you're right for the Korean Open Beta, you don't have to buy the actual game to continue playing after the OB, just pay the monthly fee and you're good to go.
Sad thing is, seeing as there probably won't be an OB for EU/US, we will have to pay for the game q. q

We've some contact inside NcSoft, so we know some great announces like the incoming OB for the western release
No you don't, and lying on an online gaming forum is pathetic.
Explain why they would jump right to Open Beta for Westerners, when CB has not even been discussed yet, NCsoft never (and I mean NEVER) skips the closed beta phase. Regardless of testing having been done on the same product in a different region.
You posted some legit info, and for that you have my thanks, the rest of the thread is, and will continue to be, useless.
NCSOFT have already said there will be no beta in EU and NA, they have done all the testing they needed in Korea....only thing that needs testing in EU and NA is translation.
To thank our loyal Tabula Rasa fans we've prepared a little closing down gift. Any active paying player as of 10:00 AM Pacific Time on November 21st, 2008 will be eligible for all of the following:
* 3 free months of City of Heroes including digital client
* 3 free months of Lineage II including digital client
* Aion beta access (coming soon)
* Aion pre-order access (available in 2009)
* 1 free month of Aion including digital client (available in 2009)

No, he's correct.
They will be having a "sort of" beta, but it's not a beta like you are thinking.
They announced that they would be doing beta preview events. From the sounds of it, it seems like it is remininscent of the Guild Wars preview events.
