Mortal online and games like fallen earth, earth rise should get added later on these forums.

Here is why:

 

Hate, hate hate, flame, this sucks ,DFO owns or WOW owns and all games suck or another example , WAR VS WOW.

 

Then the fanboys of DFO trash all other sandbox games because they have one feature missing and thus , it isn't sandbox in the definition of the DFO fanboys.

WOW fanboys seem to think everything in inferior and you also have the themepark vs sandbox trolls/fanboys debaters.

 

Some of these games shouldn't be listed until they are close to release. Why? Well, the answer is simple. The trash won't come to the official forums with saying what they want + talking about how carebears suck or how hardcore sucks and fails.

 

Such a shame. If there are more sandbox games, then more win for us because we need competition. Unfortunately, many are just trashing other games. Such a shame, where is the maturity people?

    I'm not sure whether I agree or not, because maybe the communication with other gamers excited for the game is good in some ways, and maybe they can suggest some good ideas that by chance the devs would use.

    Personally I chose not to step foot over in those forums because if I even suggest that I don't believe a game is real I am flamed like there is no tomorrow.

    I agree with OP but for a different reason; ffs, there isn't even any ingame content to show yet, why add it to the forums? What's the point of hyping without *any* sort of tangible proof?

    So you haven't noticed the tv reportage when they went into the studio and recorded them making models, concept work and showed around 20 seconds of ingame footage ?

    Adding to above that SV has nothing to show about MO at dreamhack games convention, then I just have to believe this game is vaporware.

    Don't loose your time sticking with MO. Arguments like - SV signed an agreement with Epic Games, Intel, SpeedTree, is on the stock market, swedish TV showed on video footage whole SV dev team, working on the game in their office - are just pointless. Even mmorpg.com showed only 1 sshot, but it requires min. 5 to list a game.

    You're right about that. Sort of, if they want to keep their license with epic games or extend it (like they didwith the netcode) they have to show that they have done something.

    I have; nothing much to see though. And if they are still in the process of making concept art, I wonder howh on earth they claim to have a scheduled release for this summer. I mean, concept art is the primary step in world creation, and if they still have not finalized it then they're in for some serious delays.

    Galadourn, if you doubt the developers, go on the MO official forums or their IRC channel and just ask your questions. I'm sure they will be happy to clear up any confusion if you ask nicely.

    there is nothing to doubt; I don't think MO is a vaporware project. All I'm saying is that there is too little to show at this point in its development lifecycle to warrant listing it here or anywhere else for that matter. 

     

    I think it would have been better if they had decided to go public after at least a playable alpha solution (which I believe is launching today, Nov. 28th).

    I agree, it should not have been listed on MMORPG yet. Apparently it was not intentional since they did want to keep it under wraps until they at least had some more screenshots or FPV gameplay footage to show. At least that's how i've understood it..
