The best P2P Program?

Ok well i use Limewire and i was wondering, what do you guys think is the best? I am not interested in Kazaa because it slowed down my other computer drastically. Id like a very wide span of videos and music with decent downloading.

Games Played:DoAC, EQ, CoH, Lineage 2, Planetside, and Shadowbane.
Games Playing:None:(
Waiting For:WoW, EQII

    Well the real answer is: There is not one good P2P program. The slowest but most efficient would be Bearshare or WinMX. The fasted but one with the most spyware and viruses and imps would be Kazaa and the one with ok download speeds, little spyware, but small selection would be morpheus. Limewire is slow and has a low selection.

    Well with Limewire my whole drive like died from downloading porn so Im trying to find another one lol. Does Winmx have a good selection?

    If you like 22 kb/s downloads then yes, it does have a decent selection. Not too many games, though.

    i use and have been using WinMX for the past 4 years and have never really had many problems...

    its completely spyware, adware, virus and trojan free, and is very dependable in terms of getting what you want...

    its not as popular as some of the big name ones like Kazaa, so its a little harder to find very rare songs and stuff... but so far i have been able to get everything i want...

    it allows you to download songs, videos, pictures, and even programs, however you CAN get viruses and such from downloading programs (it gives you a warning before you download any programs) but that's just common knowledge... if you just stick to songs, pictures and videos you will stay free of any of that crap...

    anyways, it's VERY simple to use (pretty much like old school Napster) and i highly recomend it... oh, it also uses the same chat thingy a few other P2P programs use so if you get bored you can just go talk in a chat room for a bit...

    Just dl'd winmx and i like it so far.. im just worried about spyware and trojans can they really protect me from that sh**? but so far i dl'd Amerika (AWESOME SONG) and it jst came out sometime around summer so im happy ^_^

    just dont download "programs" through WinMX and you wont get viruses/spyware/adware/trojans...

    like i said though, pretty much common knowledge... very hard to put those things in a song... very easy to put those things in a program...

    To get rid of the spyware/adware in kazaa, all u hav to do is download kazaa then download diet K at dietk.com

    well as far as FREE goes there is emish, limewire, kazaa, ares- (have to look up on google to download only the ares one all the rest have own websites) and a couple more i forgot ill post more up later

    winMX is great but very very slow, emule is better if you use the right servers (isreali), warez is great too, at least for me.  Stay away from Kazaa.

    oh god do i hate winmx.. i use kazaa lite... all the wonders of kazaa, without the major spyware, and upgraded speeds and stuff :-P

    Um no. Kazaa lite is the free Kazaa WITH all the spyware.


    Use the usenet if you know how the net works. You can find anything from a movie made in 1935 to a recipe for people stew.

    How about the following:

    1) Get an old machine, like a P2 400Mhz
    2) Max out the Ram
    3) Load whatever OS system you perfer (I used WinXP just turned off all the eyecandy)
    4) Install VNC so you can remote from your main machine to control this one
    5) Install mIRC
    6) Get into Fservering and FTPing
    7) Limit your bandwith so the machine won't eat it all up
    8) When your files are in, scan em, and place them in whatever computer you wish
