I stoped playing this joke, WAR, a few weeks ago, i suggest (OP) you do the same, any person looking for a balanced pvp game, should avoid WAR, period.
WAR isn't balanced for 1v1 PvP, it's balanced for GROUP PvP. I know a lot of you WoW tards have difficulty understanding that concept. Every class in WAR has it's place in GROUP PvP. Learn yours, or go play WoW.
This is true, but what happens when a class has no trump card? Now think for a sec, what is the witch elfs trump card? O wait they don't have one and pls don't tell me focus fire because that works on any class in the game. Pure and simple the WE is op'd just like the BW was previously. I couldn't give a crap about 1v1 but lets face it this isn't even balanced for group play. Honestly this is why I have so little hope for a true pvp based game, balance is never truly achieved and the constant tug o war drives players away in droves. If curious before I unsubbed this month I played a warrior priest and the fact that I stood ZERO chance against a WE helped my decision. Funny thing I tried every spec and build and equipment set up in the game and never did I feel even competitive with a WE, where as I felt right in line with most other classes in the game. Here's hoping they balance the game in the coming months maybe I'll return but the longer it takes the less chance I probably will.
I play a SW and i speced in Assualt so when a WE pops on me i click to assault stance and 7/10 times a kill them.It can be hard , you make the right attacks fast. But like others have said this is team PvP not solo.
The only time a WE goes down quickly, is when the entire grp notice one has popped on a squishy, and then focus fire it. Did you wonder why this is the only class the ENTIRE group will stop what they are doing and turn on the WE until it is dead? Because they are the most dangerous, overpowered class in the game. Are you wondering why in the last couple of weeks, most Scenarios have 4-6 of these 'bitches' in them, and half of your group leaves when they see the line ups in the Scenario window? Because they are the most dangerous, overpowered class in the game, and every man and his dog <and WoW kiddies> have rolled one because their RP gain is insane. Only a tank <maybe> can withstand the full force of a WE coming out of stealth on you. One class can barely make a dent in a WE hp bar, and I've seen many of them take down 3 or 4 toons on a mad rampage, if the fighting is fragmented and they aren't spotted soon enough. And WE's claim they are glass cannons? Don't make me laugh. Focus fire is the only thing that can take down a WE, and focus fire can take down a tank in 10secs, so what is the difference? Do you think a WE is more squishy than any healer or ranged DPS in the game? No, they are not. They have KD, disarm, stun, armour debuffs, healing debuffs. movement debuffs <damage>, all at their disposal. What don't they get? Yet, they have the biggest burst damage of ALL the classes. That is not balance In my 10yrs of online gaming, I have NEVER seen a more ridiculous burst DPS class. It is also the least skillful to play. 3 or 4 buttons pushes and run round in a mad circle whilst your auto attacks and DoTs are proccing a tidal wave of critical hits. Complete madness, and its current incarnation is ruining the game experience.
I disagree with you in your post man, I play a Squig HErder and I tell you I can have a whole group of people on me in seconds as well once I pop the healer or the casters provided they are the same level as me and outside of melee distance (Squig herders are useless if casters get within melee of us).
I usually group up with a Shaman, WE due to the amount of people we can kill within seconds and cover each other's weaknesses.
On a note also, if you haven't killed the caster you are on within 10 seconds you better haul ass as a WE (just a rule to remember).
The caveat to WE is how soft they are, as well as how quickly they expend action.
A WE is more into the spike damage values with emphasis on hard hitting dots. Once they un out of action their daggers turn from steal into foam and you can kill them quite easily.
You want to beat a WH/WE?
DON'T RUN IF THEY UNSTEALTH ON YOU.
IMMEDIATELY POP A LARGE HOT POTION OR LARGE HEAL
DO NOT LET THEM CIRCLE STRAFE; INSTEAD WALK BACKWARDS (IF YOU MUST MOVE) ADJUSTING YOUR ANGLE AND THUS REDUCING SOME OF THEIR MORE DAMAGING ATTACKS
LET THE CASCADE OF DAMAGE SETTLE BEFORE YOU TRY TO LAY INTO THEM, THEIR ACTION WILL BE SPENT AND THEY WILL BECOME A SOFT TARGET. SNARE AND CREATE DISTANCE OR STAND AND FIGHT.
Learn to play your class.........and others before you say something is OP. You want a WE to do less damage, what do you think they will be if they get a boost in mitigation? or some other advantage in combat?

War is far from balanced for group PvP. Let's do a little thought experiment here. Lets say we have a Destruction group, all level 40, consisting of the following:
The order group has more diversity and 14 combatants versus the other group of only 13 that is less diverse and heavy on healing, tanks, and sorcerors. Yet I would still expect the destruction group to win precisely because they have so much more healing, damage mitigation, ranged damage, and a witch elf tag team that can kill from stealth before computer latency + reaction time can have any effect against them. The engineers on the Order side could use their ridiculous magnet ability, but are likely to be targetted first by the witch elves from then on, and will likely only pull tanks most of the time.
The fact that anyone thinks Warhammer is remotely balanced for anything but the most carefully handpicked team setups is more than mildly amusing.
