My friends and I were fighting yesterday, and we couldn't help but notice on a boss we kept our spearmen (well I don't have any, but my 2 friends do) using lighting spear to lockdown the boss while we took care of the adds. That got us to thinking, what if you made a party with all spearmen and an oracle or shaman to start with...
I went ahead and made an alt in which I plan on going all spearmen (including main) with 1 maybe 2 pure healing shamans until I can get the oracle. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. So far I got em to 30ish in level and only had 4-5 merc deaths.
I suppose for newcomers this wouldn't work out, and my results are rather scewed since I'm using my main's money to keep thier stats and skill levels maxed. Instead of disabling mobs outright with freezing axes or stunlocking with guns (like on my main, yeah I know it's cheap), I can keep most mobs without any ap to use thier turns. I've yet to use it in any free leagues, maybe later today .
Anyways, what do you think about using 7-8 spearmen and 1-2 healers for a party?

I've read that a new merc will be introduced, the Rainmaker.
And this brand new mage (yep, it'll be a mage) will have a skill that's similar to Exorcist's Mana Seal, but effecting Melee mercs.
And this could write the word "End" on that build
thats is like a bot party lol... bots some times use this setup :
Spear Spear Spear
Spear Spear Spear
Sham Sword or spear(Main) Sham
i already see more than 20 bots with this setup lol
but if you focus all mercs on he line = he can't play... but is realy easy to end with this build... HG on first row.

lol I hope I don't get mistaken for a bot I had no idea that it was a build used by botters, I hate em!
you will see the big disparity betwwen bots and players, the way they respond to the environment you will easily determine if that player is real or a bot...
is that the only way that we can determine if a player is a bot or not? what if the bot didnt use spearmen? then he is not a bot? how do gm's in the game determine if a player is a bot or not?
