These are what I speant most of my childhood playing games on and learning the basics of computing... well when I wasn't outside with my friends of course.

    Atari 2600

    TI 99/4a

    Tandy Color Computer 3

I actually still have the TI 99 and the CoCo 3 in a closet somewhere around here. My Atari got so much use it just wore out and stopped functioning back in the early 80's sometime.

Is a decade "back in the day"?

Sure!  When it comes to electronic gaming, I think more than 5 years is considered "Old School"

Where oh Where is the Sega Master System.  The competitor to the NES.  In the U.S. it may not have beaten the NES, but here in australia, most people had a Master System over the NES, as Sonic was more popular than Mario.

Then it went to the next step with the SNES and Mega Drive (or Genesis as you guys called it) Wars.

    Ah, good times, GREAT Games.

Thank god for Emulators. - I can relive all those great times.

Wow!  Is that an oscilloscope with a gamepad?

I feel cheated with Atari having only one button on the joystick.  Anywho, I think that thing pwned my first - the Vic 20.
