lol, im not its hard to determin emotion in typed words on a forum board, and yes Obama's precidency will end, and republicans will reign once more!!!!!
Blah!
Normally hate to talk politics in gaming but since you all seem determined to bring it up lets just not forget what a wonderfull job the Republicans have done over the last 8 years getting America from a having a budget surplus to its current high unemployment debt ridden recession, with a unwinable war costing billions monthly and thousands in American soldiers lives so far, all fought for the false pretenses of WMD's.
Yes the world will come to a end someday. (maybe 2012) just too many people living make believe lives in imaginary worlds to actually see or care whats going on in this real one it seems.
hmm dont think of that guys, it will just caused you fear however, it was stated in the bible that when the Lord come back he will separate his people form the just, those people that acept jesus as their savior. however the bible did not mention the exact date when it will be, maybe today, tomorow or the next day hehe.
lol, what is it with you religous ppl, i mean srsly, this is like the 10th post on the damn bible or or so called 'god', its a fairytale.
I don't buy the world ending in 2012 either..
Early in my life my beliefs were based only on tangible scientific evidence so I can understand your sceptisism. However there are things that have happened to me personally that chance nor any law of averages can explain. So for those reasons I've brushed sceptisism aside and believe in GOD, higher power or whatever you call Him/Her.. However I don't think He/She has any interest in Football games, Music award shows or Polkas.
I am curious of this growing distain for the bible though, why does it anger people so? Perhaps it's the belief that no beneviliant being would allow things to happen that we see on a daily basis? I also see discrepensies and contradictions throughout the book itself take the story of Christmas and the wise men for example. It is for these reason I view the Bible as a roadmap rather than word law.
Most things deciphered by man or our so called intelectuals usually have their slant or taint to it. Therefore I see God along spiritual lines rather than any one religion.
lol the bible doest anger me, lol, and as i stated earlier i dont beleive in the whole world ending in 2012 thing, and if 'god' is real, and is such a loving god, why would he create something he loved to run the chance of 'hell'? thats always puzzled me, and if everything is already apart of some so called 'plan' why is 'prayer' worth it when it cant change something that is already 'planned' out.
Knived keep in mind that religion was a bit different and it's conotation and changed it's progressive image just before the ensuing of the darkages... before the darkages that word was associated with a searching for answers to questions and gaining understanding to give meaning to life, and of how man fits in to the universe; it was more about a searching for a divine truth (what happend to that, ... sectarianism changed it... religion gave birth to philosphy, astrology, alchemy etc... and eventually, indirectly through social/human evolution into scientific thought...) so things became more sectarian, things, more specialized and seperate, as our understand of our world/nature/knowledge grew... and as did religion grew, and in a sense it's meaning changed. During the dark ages it evolved into a more dogmatic format, but that is not due to it's own fault but was changed primarily due to geopolitical power struggles... the church itself was the true super power back then, and hence religion changed to suit it's need to control all the countries, and control the thoughts and ideas of that time, and set the socially acceptable standards and traditions of its time. This shouldn't be viewes as anything negative but more of a historically evolutionary social process of all thoughts and ideas during those times. This is of course very old history as religion today has grown out of that hostile age... it seems that a "unifying" theory is helping to bring to gether religion and science are our understanding of the universe, there are more and more theories being born towards this unifying understanding that all is connected somehow and in some way, and that it seem mysterious until further veils are lifted in that understanding. So many theories have sprung up in our century alone that reflect this human unconcious moment such as Cybernetics, on "self-organization" and "Unified field theory" as various countless others... what does it all mean? We as a human whole actually be on a verge of a new golden age?
Yep sounds like 2012 is indeed the end of the world then.. While Nos has missed some totable predictions he's been on point allot. You can play the interpreted card how you like but I've read some of his quatraines. if his predictions are merely luck then I want ole Nos picking my powerball numbers. I'll take my chances with his 79% accuracy. I'll take my chances with an interpreters ability to fit 79% of quatrains to an event. Crazy kids..

Wow, I've read allot of peoples opines about the world ending, and blah, blah blah. TO be honest with you, this is a waste of time and energy written about when the wold is suppose to end. When its suppose to happen, and when it isn't. It makes me sick, that people are more worried about when the world is ending then. Helping other people in different countries to fight of diseases, cancers, starvations, Building Shelters, hospitols, school etc. DO u get my point.
American people don't care about other countries, but themselves. Its sad to say, but some don't give a damn, that your daughter is dieing from a illness, that's not curable, or your son has lyceums. They wouldn't care unless they were going through it with their families. Its sad, that most American wont even give money to help a charity in there hometown.
It pisses me off, that We the people of the united states IN ORDER TO FORUM A MORE PREFECT Union.
how are you going to forum a more prefect union, when the stock market keeps crashing, and global warming is among us. Maybe we should be focusing on those problems. Stock mart, How come the bailout plan hasn't worked yet? Improving the earth, etc.. Eh with this stupid end of the world discussion, its pointless, everything dies off.
Feh, let it end...i'm fully prepared.........I know where my towel is.
Doomsayers are a dime a dozen and people have this annoying knack of seeing what they want to see and/or misinterpret information so it will fit, nice and neat, into a illogical mold they've chosen to make.
Sir Issac Newton predicted the end of the world as well, the year 2060...but this is also the man convinced that lead could be turned into gold.
The person that has been stirring this pot lately is a man named Ronald Weinland the author of God's final witness:2008, who has predicted the fall of the U.S. in 2009 (yet he couldn't predict who would win the presidency)...most would say 'Ok' to this except Mr. Weinland also predicted U.S. currency to be useless by "A little after April" 2008.
Mr. Weinland is a film-flam artist who twists scripture to sell a book...that's it.
As for the Mayan civilization, they made one hell of a long calendar that is supposed to end in 2012...note i said "supposed to" as this too has been debated.

Yeah yeah we hear this all the time, USA is shit. Yet when one of your countries want help who is the first you look to. I say USA should just turn their back on the rest of the world (stop sending support and cash) and see how you guys do on your own.
Global warming is a joke...has nothing to do with people....just the natural way of the earth to clean it self.
Global warming is a joke...has nothing to do with people....just the natural way of the earth to clean it self.
thank you. it has more to do with the sun than anything we could ever do.
I'll just say this, probably been said already. 2012 marks the end of an 'age' not the world. Any fear being spread about this date is intentional so you'd be better off not worrying about it.
So which MMORPG are we talking about in this topic couldn't really find anything other then a intresting discussion that should belong in the OFFTOPIC section of this website. SORRY
the world ends every 10 to 15 years. So what do i think of 2012, hmm......about the same thing i thought in 1999 and about global warming. NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
Zomgwtfbbq you can't be serious but teh global warmingz will KILL DA POLAR BEEARZ zomg we as humans are so evil we're killing our planets LET'S ALL USE DIFFERENT LITEBULBS and let teh environmentalists tell us what R gud and what R bad!!11oneoneone
"If you warn me about the dangers of global warming one more time, I'll make a carbon footprint on your ass."
At least most of us agree global warming is overstated and really a bunch of BS, like most hype for these MMOs.
It is all occult rubbish, All of this reminds me of the heavens gate church, where they cut off there penisis and drank cyanide and waited for the mother ship top take them away before the end came. As for that wikki link it sais Nostru's writtings were very vague and never have been able to be held credibly to any event but also could be held to any event, makeing it so vague that it can be applied to anything, which is the way most cults and the such work.

Ummm... You do know that the U.S as a people are the most generous in the world right? Since your country does so much more and is waaaay better then the U.S why not be proud of it and proclaim where you are from.

how are you going to forum a more prefect union, when the stock market keeps crashing, and global warming is among us. Maybe we should be focusing on those problems. Stock mart, How come the bailout plan hasn't worked yet? Improving the earth, etc.. Eh with this stupid end of the world discussion, its pointless, everything dies off.

Fixed.
I'll take my chances with his 79% accuracy. I'll take my chances with an interpreters ability to fit 79% of quatrains to an event.I'll take my chances with an interpreters ability to fit 79% of quatrains to an event until the naysayers come up with a logical alternative to the current interpretation.
Ok first off it was not just mayans its also aztec and hopi as well as chinese all end on the same exact day.
They are not saying the end of the world but the end of the world as we know it. Meaning great change is ahead could be bad or could be good.
all of that along with our sun being in the center of our galaxy or was it earth? what ever it was i think we will see alot of wild things in the next 4-8 years ahead.
you could be on the safe side and stock ammo guns and can food as lots of people are doing already.
played M59,UO,lineage,EQ,Daoc,Entropia,SWG,Horizons,Lineage2.EQ2,Vangaurd,Irth online, DarkFall,Star Trek and many others that did not make the cut or i just plain forgetting about.

(maybe 2012) just too many people living make believe lives in imaginary worlds to actually see or care whats going on in this real one it seems.
lol, what is it with you religous ppl, i mean srsly, this is like the 10th post on the damn bible or or so called 'god', its a fairytale.
Great idea for an MMO right guys? :P

Feh, let it end...i'm fully prepared.........I know where my towel is.
Doomsayers are a dime a dozen and people have this annoying knack of seeing what they want to see and/or misinterpret information so it will fit, nice and neat, into a illogical mold they've chosen to make.
Sir Issac Newton predicted the end of the world as well, the year 2060...but this is also the man convinced that lead could be turned into gold.
http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/node/1393

The world won't end as such.
Hell will jus become over populated and the dead will walk the earth

thank you. it has more to do with the sun than anything we could ever do.
I'll just say this, probably been said already. 2012 marks the end of an 'age' not the world. Any fear being spread about this date is intentional so you'd be better off not worrying about it.
My Prediction:
After the world does not end in 2012 the End of the Worlders will pick a new date, just like they did after Y2K.
Remember Y2K?
I died in Y2K so speak for yourself!!
So which MMORPG are we talking about in this topic couldn't really find anything other then a intresting discussion that should belong in the OFFTOPIC section of this website. SORRY
As for that wikki link it sais Nostru's writtings were very vague and never have been able to be held credibly to any event but also could be held to any event, makeing it so vague that it can be applied to anything, which is the way most cults and the such work.
playing eq2 and two worlds
I think the world end, if people will not change and stop pollution.
Playing: WoW and Guild wars faction.
waiting on: GW2 and next WoW expansion
played: flyff, diablo2, maplestory, dungeon runners, eudemons online, conquer online, runescape, decide online, perfect world, and atlantica.
I died in Y2K so speak for yourself!!
I always knew it was mostly zombies that post on MMORPG.com.
Enter Smog Monster?
Actually Nostradamus predicted many things past 2012. The Mayans did as well. All they predict is a new age brought on by some castrophic event.
I'd like to see it.
Make a difference!
The world won't end. Only the virus that is killing it. It's called an immune system. We trigger it.. It kills us.. Yay Earth!
Make a difference!

Great idea for an MMO right guys? :P
wuld make a good mmo im too tired for any discusion though.
Sincerly

as long as there's a decent MMO out there by then holding my attention, that i like, and od everything in then i dont give a damn when the world ends
"Emotion, yet peace.

Death, yet the Force"
The Original Jedi Code
Fixed.
I'll take my chances with his 79% accuracy. I'll take my chances with an interpreters ability to fit 79% of quatrains to an event. I'll take my chances with an interpreters ability to fit 79% of quatrains to an event until the naysayers come up with a logical alternative to the current interpretation.
Now it's fixed
Dutchess Zarraa Voltayre
Reborn/Zero Sum/Ancient Legacy/Jagged Legion/Feared/Nuke & Pave.
It is going to be nothing more than an astronomical event. (trust me)
interesting thread:
Ok first off it was not just mayans its also aztec and hopi as well as chinese all end on the same exact day.
They are not saying the end of the world but the end of the world as we know it. Meaning great change is ahead could be bad or could be good.
all of that along with our sun being in the center of our galaxy or was it earth? what ever it was i think we will see alot of wild things in the next 4-8 years ahead.
you could be on the safe side and stock ammo guns and can food as lots of people are doing already.
