OK, i know there has been at least 1 topic about this, but none recently, so..... Does anyone know if there will be a .hack MMO? i mean, if you look at the game, it has great potential as an MMO. please dont mention Fragment, as that wasnt much of an MMO to begin with. Any info is appreciated!

With the way Fragment went, I doubt their will ever be one.
I loved the Anime so I would definitely be interested, but are you talking about a straight implementation of 'The World' or the whole 'Game Within a Game' concept?
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

I would if they didnt make it a single mission run game like PSU, where all you do is run the same "Hot" m ission for 2-3 months before they add another one...
I would also play it if it was not a total Grind fest.
It already exists. "The World"of Warcraft. Seriously. Think about it.

They should wait for gaming to catch up to technology first.
If your going to create "The World" then you need to do it right, with full blown in house VR headsets. With digital self imaging and the works.
Thought movement over keyboard movement, no hands, just sitting in your lazy boy kicking ass in a dungeon with your mind.
No typing text, just voice chat where the only ones who can hear you speak are the ones within range.
When technology reached that level, it will be time to unleash "The World".
Until then it will just be a watered down .hack of every other MMO on planet earth.

we are already part way there.
You mean like guildwars but only with one city instead of a bunch, and to move to your instance or public PvE area you say a "catch phrase".
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
