Ok, I've Heard and read the bashing and the praising. But what i want to know, is the game worth it.
Or should i just wait for 3-4 month's before diving in head first.
I know AoC was in a similar predicament. But i also heard it improved. Overall is WAR worth the 50$.
Or will it be worth the 50$ in a while, becuase if not, there are alote of new mmo's commin out and i can wait.

No it isnt worth it. You could wait 3 - 4 months if you like but you would be better off just buying a different game completely. There are more interesting games in the pipeline. WAR is just boring as hell.
Mean, Well I have Guild Wars. But It's That Bad?

I could be wrong but from what I hear you should easily be able to find WAR for much cheaper these days in bargain bins etc. For 15$-30$ or whatever a game like this(a MMO) is probably worth checking out at least.
That said, if you can find a friend with a trial, all the better imo
The only one who can decide if it is good or not is yourself, but I can tell you I only tried the open beta, and I won't ever be buying the retail, simply because no amount of time could change the game enough to make it interesting enough for me to buy.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
I personnally found the game to be fun. It is more of just jump in and play. If an MMO gives me a minimum of 40-50 hours of entertainment I figure that it was worth the 50 dollar price tag.
Yep, was $29 at my nearest Gamestop. Call them up and see if they are priced similar.
In the meantime, check this Warhammer forum for a FREE TRIAL. There are lots of people offering a free trial right now because Warhammer is giving them 30 days of Free Play if you sign up using their offer. You should not have any problems finding someone willing to lend you a key.
If you read all these up/down reviews as you say, I'm sure you came across a thread or two saying to send someone a email or post for the offer.
"TO MICHAEL!"
Whats mean about saying a game isnt very good? Also whats owning Guildwars got to do with anything?
It seems to me like you plan on buying WAR anyway. You have read through all the posts about it and have seen all the positive and negative feedback and yet you have made a new post asking people for more feedback. In other words you want people to encourage you to buy it by telling you something awesome about it. I have seen this kind of post so many times before.
I bought the game and quit two weeks later. I couldnt even face playing through the entire free month as I found it way too boring. Fortunately I got the game for £20 through a friend so I didnt lose to much. I also wasnt too disapointed as I never expected very much from the game anyway. Two weeks entertainment wasnt too bad for £20.
As you clearly intend to buy the game anyway I would recommend you try and minimise any disapointment you might experience later by shopping around and trying to get it cheaper. I'm sure there is a thread in the WAR forums somewhere where someone is offering some kind of buddy pass or something like that. Maybe you should take a look.
Don't let some of people here tell you that the game is "Bad" because that is what they do every day, to every game they can (that they are not bias to) to every post they can. They sit and feed off of it.
instead get a key and jump in to War yourself and get your own point of view. Trial keys are available, I have a few, there are some on the main site aswell.

Indeed dont pay too much attention to other peoples opinions of the game. Some people love it. Many people dont. If you really want to know what the game is like then you will just have to play it yourself.

Fixed
The game is good, second most played next to WoW, it means many people found it interesting and fun. It's a get right into action MMO. No need of grindfest, you log on and are going straigh to a battle or a battle in scenarios. That's worth the 25 € i payed for the game at my Games Shop. Give it a try.
It is a question of fangs.
I really enjoy it right now. It is very fun if you really like PvP based games. It is very skill based (tactical) PvP instead of one or two button spam like WoW. If you would like I can generate a trail code from my account if you private email me through the site. You can try it and see if it is for you.

Get a trial key and check it out. The starting areas for most race/class combos are pretty fun, but imo after you get to about lvl 20 and get your mount the game starts to not have any real point. I mean money no longer matters as you cannot really do anything with it worth while, crafting is a joke, and the ORvR really serves no purpose either.
The game was fun for me for awhile, but burned our on it very fast...sad it had alot of promise imo.
$50? You could of had this for $10 last month (Or was it late November?) on Amazon for about a week. Unless you are talking about the collectors edition, I would say that may would be worth $50 for all the extras you get with it.
No bias here, the game was completely awful, beta was the only good time i had with it.
Exactly how i felt. I knew it wasn t meant to be a DAOC2 but damn the rvr was so far from how good DAOCs was i was truly upset. On that note i ve talked to many people and they say it s become much better and they plan to add a ton more to ORVR. I m giving it a bit and will re sub down the road. Don t take that as anything because i had huge expectations of this game and i feel it needs 3-6 months more beofre it remotely comes close to those for me.
It's worth it if you like PvP. I guess there are endgame issues where Fortress seiging is abnormally hard, but I'm only 22.
My advice would be to get on a server known for population like Badlands. Scenarios (battlegrounds) pop non-stop, and there is World RvR all over the place. You won't be bored. If anything, there is TOO much to do in this game so it can seem redundant. There's just no way to do all PQ's, all solo Quests, Scenarios, and World RvR. Just focus on what you like and you level that way.
The thing is that you've already said that you've seen the bashing and praising. So all you are really doing is opening up a new thread for more bashing and praising. Nothing different will be revealed here.
I liked Warhammer and had more fun in my first few weeks then I have had in a while. In the end I didn't really like how the keep battles were presented but I think that is because I was looking at it with a slightly jaundiced eye as most of my siege experience comes from Lineage 2.
I would see if you can get the game on sale and just play it. Unfortunately it's been out for a bit so the new player areas probably won't be as teaming as they were on the first day. Which of course contributed to a lot of the fun, especially my first Public Quest in the Chaos area.

I enjoyed it for a month. $50 well spent. A continued subscription is another matter altogether. I'll go back to FPS's for my player kill fun.
I played DAoC from release up until people dropped off the servers and now have played War since release. War's RvR is the best!! No other mmo out there even comes close to touching it. WoW and AoC suck, I played those at release and some expansions packs on WoW. Don't listen to these 12 year old idiots who think after playing WoW that they know something, (WoW is not what a real mmo is all about , its made for the masses, not real mmo players). War works great for solo play (mostly what I do) and even better for group play. The ORvR they added is great, nice to get rewards for killing people while I wait for a RvR scenario to open up. All in all, if your worried about $50, wait a year, then they will have a demo out most likely. Or, take a chance and get it, you might find that its between the best or worst game you ever played :P.
I enjoy WAR. Personally, I've played almost every major MMO since Everquest. Played WoW for the longest, but left due to the high amount of time involved with end game guild raids.
WAR is nice because you can participate in RvR (PvP) at any level, Open RvR or Scenarios. There are not a lot of big dungeons, but I haven't done much PVE raiding yet. People say the PvE world is not big enough, but you can always fly to one of three areas that have content for your level.
There is a "recruit a friend" program, which allows you to try the game for a bit. Why not ask around and get a key for the trial, then make your own assesment.
The line I highlighted is one of the primary reasons why I disagree and didn't care for the game. ORvR should not have been an add-on, and RVR scenarios made it a WOW clone, and not a successor to DAOC.
Add to the fact its really a game and not a world like DAOC was, and you begin to understand why the game didn't work out fo rme.
Doesn't mean the game is bad, if you prefer a heavy focus on getting in and out of combat quick and easy, with no real risk or reward, WAR is your game.
Like most of the other folks said, only you can decide for yourself whether you will like WAR or not.

The game has improved alot on the mistakes at launch, especially the RVR.
2 of my RL friends still play and they are having a blast.
I went back to EVE online, and will probably stick with it for a good long time, but that game is not for everyone.
Either way WAR is a great game with alot of fun to be had, they just made some wrong decisions at 1st, but most is corrected now.
RVR is very active atm ( seen it on my friends PC ).
The game is different then WoW and like 200% better then AoC, AoC was beyond repair, WAR just needed a few tweaks. ( So RvR become more important then scenarios )
So again, it is really worth the 50 bucks.

Just to add to what I said before. The ORvR is starting to pick up a lot more now that they released the gear for it. With rewards for ORvR people are almost always jumping some area that you can take. Also they are adding new classes without costly expansions.
Now again:
If anyone wants to try the game and find out for themselves msg me on here and I will generate a "recruit a friend" code for you. Then try it and see if you like it.

To be honest i'd wait, my feeling overall is the game is it's walking on the edge of an abyss and just a small nudge could send it toppleing into that abyss never to be seen again.
