Will the stress test be open to the public?

from what the information i have been hearing on the site it sounds like its just for closed beta testers. If it is open to the public will there be sign-ups or will we have to go through fileplanet thats my question.

Can't see that it's much of a stress test if all they use are the CB players.
I suppose forcing everyone into start-up roles and shoe-horned into 1-2 servers might be a stress... but nothing like the last ST was.
I suspect it was said at some point that the "real stress" on the servers would be when OB started. And calling it the next "stress test" stuck - at least with someone.
We'll find out in the next week if OB == New Stress Test.
Pretty sure that the "stress test" they speak of is open beta, a lot of other gaming sites think so as well.
Though, they could be all wrong.
I personally don't see a point in having a pre-open beta launch, if you were in Stress test, you'd know, they had about 8 or 9 different servers up, with lots of people playing. So, it would be kind of pointless to hold another test before open beta, since they've already tested what they needed to in the earlier stage.
Open Beta would definitely be the next step of stress, well, at least that's my theory.

For it to stress the servers they would need alot of testers... if the ST is indeed seperate from the OB (I dont think it is, its probably just another name for OB) then they will AT LEAST just re-activate all our ST accounts (which still exist, if they arent deleting them as we speak). They need at least those 100k users, 9 servers to get good crash info on the servers.

Now, why would it be a stress test with only closed beta people. Think of that reasoning. A Stress Test is to put as many people as they can onto their servers to test the load and cause it some stress. Why in the hell would they used the 3,000 CB people to stress test? Read what the notice says.
They are going to release the CLIENT to the closed beta people first. It does not say that the closed beta people are going to be the stress test.
