Age of Conan Worth going back to after 6-7 months?

I played age of conan when it first came out, got an assassin to level 80, epic daggers ect. and quit because the classes were very unbalanced and assassins were useless. Now that its been 6 months is it worth going back and paying that 15$ or should i just put it towards darkfall?
Is there any changes in class balance and in assasin? only reason assassin was balanced back then is because we could Que up our 4 attack combo to the last hit and hit From the Darkness and 1 shot people with a charge then combo finish.
They took that away from us BTW thats why i left and we were useless to use.
Let me know please i would like to know

They have a 'Welcome back' campaign planned get former players back once they feel they can keep them, might wanna wait till FC feels you might stay.

when is that? id like to give that a try again, but im also consitering darkfall, iv been playing WoW for the last 2 years
I have no idea whether it's really worth coming back, but the buzz is good these days and the soon-to-come fresh realms is a good incentive, so I'll give it a try for sure. :-)
is any thing new? like balanced classes? and what ever?
I agree, and the winback program will most likely start in February.
Dont worry DF wont be released by then.
p.s. Dont put money in DF from get go just wait few weeks so you see some reviews.

i saw a release date for 1/22/09 though for darkfall and whats this winback thing for FC what does it give me

Well, the comeback program that people are talking about is basically FC probably offereing old subscribers some free time in the game to show off how well the game is off now. I think it was mentioned at a point that the comeback program will be launched after pathc 1.04 which basically contains 3 more new zones/dungeons and DX10. So it's not like anybody will "get" anything. It's more like something that will demonstarte how well AoC is off for the old subscribers that already have a box. I am worried however, as the servers now are packed. If too many people come back(in US in particular) I would guess the servers in worst case could break or at least make PvP to a hell because people would be after your scalp 24/7.
EDIT: Ohh forgot to say that most classes are well balanced now. All classes have their nemesis and opponents they will do better against in propper Rock, Scissors, Paper style. But I would say balance is very good now. Stuff like 1,2 shotting or charging of attacks and so on is not possible anymore.
how are assassins? are they good? do they do well against any class? did they fix our evasion because we wear cloth?

Yes, the assassin is a good class now, all classes are much better balanced now. I have a friend that has a lvl 80 assassin he loves him.
He told me that assassin is his favorit class, i have fought many assassins and they are really good, well ofc it depends on how good you play, gears, feats etc.
Personally i think ranger is the best Rogue class
Edit: if you are waiting for DF, you will probably have to wait much longer.

To OP : servers merging as we speak,dx 10 inc,player base increasing(yes it's true.log on and see for youreself).I would say this is a good time to come back.
Personally i rolled a fresh char,just to check if they fixed all the bugged quests etc.Atm i'm lvl 60 and havent seen a bugged quest yet.There is also more mid lvl content.Proffessions also seem to be better this time.Just started Alch and Armourcrafting...no problems yet.Low lvl pvp is as fcked up as it ever was,but fun like hell.
Despite what the doomsayers tell you,AoC pvp takes skills.Thats why all the negative.To put it simple,ppl fail.And instead of taking the time to learn it,they run back to wow or theire old mmo where they can shine once again.Then they come here and blame AoC,funny really.Atm I suck bigtime in pvp,but i have more fun then i had in many years.Sure i'm gonna get the hang of it soon.
As for assasins,I cant tell you much.Other then that they kill me in 2-3 sec.I'm ToS.
If you left cause of bug's,lack of content,low population etc.it's def.worth comming back.
If you decided to hate the game no matter what,it's no point comming back.Then better wait for Darkfail,or just stay with wow/war.
